Jeffwilson99
What exactly do you run as / for? That sounds like some legit stuff  I play AFL. The clubs take stuff like this pretty seriously, because a single player breaking any rule is enough reason for a sponsor to leave. Could you imagine how unpopular I'd be if I cost my club a multi-million dollar sponsorship by wearing the wrong shoes  So who are you sponsered by? noble_aloof
Hey guys! sorry i've been having some computer problems -.-i'll add that link to the first post right now, tell me if you want me to change anything in it.i was wondering how everybody's season went. how were your times? how did your team do? let me know! on a personal sidenote, i just got back from a race to find that my computer would actually turn on :D and that i smashed my PR by 39 seconds by running an 18:32 today :D:D and ps- i've been given the choice to get nike+(and a thing that holds it on my laces) or a fancy garmin watch for Christmas, which should i choose? sithlord_man
Will the Garmin watch help you track your mileage and the other things? Personally, I'd go for the Nike+ On a side note, I'm 1 spot away from sectionals...Running 18:05 was not good enough at championships...good thing is that 3 of our team for Cross country qualified for Sectionals, with me and another member 1 spot away. Went from Second to last a year ago to having members go to sectionals. 99 FM Acheived on Friday December 26th 2008Click for my blog|Mass Effect Discussion Thread|Nation Creation/Create your own Country Forums

Ouchy
Should I eat breakfast at 5:30AM, and be fine to run at 7AM? Breakfeast consists of 8 Weet-Bix with 500g Skim Milk. I need to study in the morning so I'm curious. My relaxation method involves a bottle of lotion, beautiful women, and partial nudity. Yes I get massages. I also generally run on unpaved paths, so I need to watch where I'm running. I have never found boredom during a run a problem. There's no such thing as regret. noble_aloof
hey guys, how was everyone's thanksgiving break? did you run any races?i ran two over mine, a mile race sponsered by a local bar (go figure) and a 5k run. in the mile i smashed my old pr by 22 seconds and ran a 5:20, second in my agegroup 15-16in the 5k (the next day) i ran a 19:45 on a hilly course. 9th overall, which wasn't bad. winter track season is hopefully starting tomorrow (just training) how are you guys doing? also- i was thinking about getting a legit looking track jacket so i won't look like a noob when i go to races, which color would you guys pick? i often wear black shorts, occasionally grey sweatpants, and black wind-pants for track season. http://www.oakley.com/catalog/products/master-track-jacket/411311-60B Staking: 4+ mil Current Status: Training defense
Georgelemmons
We have one guy who's an amazing finisher (on the mile last year he made up 60m with 100m left to win the race), but absolutely cannot use the facilities before a run. We almost always run the same way, and we run on a path lined with bushes and trees. He has one spot where a bush is almost completely stripped bare from "use". I'll let you figure out what happened there. After 2 weeks of not running, our winter running group has begun. I love winter running. There's no pressure at all because we don't have competitions, and all the fun elements of running are still there. The workouts are tough and cold, yes, but we often have snowball fights whilst running and other fun. Once, we ran by my house, and grabbed sleds and pulled them behind us in the snow for two miles to go sledding  Thanks to Uno for the awsome sig <
noble_aloof
i also like winter running because of the no-competition element.. I'm mainly doing it to have use of the weight room, though. considering i live right up the street, its faster to go home at 2:35 and run then to wait at school til 3:15 to run. noble_aloof
for some reason the team takes an ungodly amount of time to get changed.. plus we have to -wait- for our coach to come  last year i stopped going near the end of the winter and ran on my own. i couldn't believe the (old) coach was actually getting pissed at me for taking 1-2 days off a week to go skiing (i would just run at home). when i want to go skiing this year i'll simply go home, eat, stretch, and be out the door by 3:00 then return by 4 to go ski (except on fridays, which i'll probably make my off-day) Staking: 4+ mil Current Status: Training defense

How2PK
I started running a while ago, but after a few times I got a lot of pain in my right knee. It turned out that I overpronate. So I stopped running with my old shoes. My uncle had the same problem as I have, and he recommended me the Brooks GTS9, so I bought those shoes today, they will arrive tomorrow and I can't wait to try them on. :) It's a shame that there isn't any shop in my neighborhood that specializes in running shoes.
