May 28, 200917 yr A friend of mine has recently got ripped off by a real life friend of his. He's 10, and must have thought he could trust his friend with his password. I've tried to tell him about fansites and to read up on all the things that are against the rules, like account sharing, etc, but he's 10, and doesn't listen. Anyway, so he logs in one day and finds his only 3m gone, bank emptied and everything, which he worked so long for. And his real life friends account suddenly gets full Dharoks (I bet the kid already had some cash). Easy to see that his friend (whos at the same school) ripped him off. Whats the best way to resolve this? My initial thoughts were that some d-bag has ripped off my friend and I would force him to give the cash back, in a slightly threatening manner. But, once my anger passed, I wanted to honestly try and figure out how to help out. Anyone have any suggestions? It was also a good lesson for him to not share his password. I was wondering, has anyone been scammed by a real life friend? How did you handle it? Please discuss. OT: About my post count, I've been a tif lurker before which is why it's so low :P.

Most of the time when you smite out your trick partner you get their cash so he must have done that with either multilogging or having some other friend die to him. All I can suggest is that your friend changes his password, sets up a bank pin, and starts again. Ask Bruce Wayne why we fall down :) . P.S. Has he been inside the Security Stronghold. May 28, 200917 yr Lets see, he is playing underaged, admits to account sharing and was stupid enough to give his password to a kid that wasnt his friend, and doesn't have a pass set. There is nothing he can/should do except blame himself for being so stupid and come back in 3 years time when he is allowed to play the game.

May 29, 200917 yr With them being so young, unfortunately most of the time they aren't exposed to these type of situations, so I'd actually say it's a positive thing. There's really not much you can do because doing something such as threatening whoever did it won't get the items back, so I'd just say lesson learned.

He could just say he got it off legit from BH. There is nothing you *should* do for revenge anyway. I wouldn't suggest hitting another person over 3m RS gp. Just help your friend get more money.
