Ring tone that makes boobs bigger

Well since our primary function is to procreate and bigger breasts leads to a better chance at recieving a mate it is only natural to want to look better.

Actually, there's alot more to it than that. There's also the hips factor, as well. Actually, the hips mean more than the breasts, to be perfectly honest. But no one goes looking to get bigger hips. In fact, women are more likely to look to have smaller hips, because that's how supermodels are. The "ideal" woman has changed alot. But that's a whole other debate.

I have just one word to say: FAKE.

I don't believe anything as insane as this.

When you hear the bathtub overflow, what do you do? Ok, what about when someone rings the doorbell? What if you hear something fall?

Not that i'm defending him but how is a bathtub overflowing, doorbell ringing, or something falling insanely hard to believe?

They're all responses to stimuli. As is the child's ringtone that supposedly increases breast size. Albeit, the last is actually changing a physical characteristic, but it's not that unbelievable.

Absolute pointless. If we can harness the power to go good such as cure diseases, ease pain, I'm for it. But not for recreational activities.

Maybe if you would have watched the video or actually read what I said it might sound more useful to you.

I will say it again, Hideto Tomabechi also says he is working on a ring tone to make hair grow, better memory, and other useful applications. He is also being used by the Japanese government to unbrainwash people with the same technology.

I don't see how you could use it to cure disease, and I see a slight possibility at it curing pain, but mainly this seems to me as if it's going to be used for recreational purposes. I can't see how it could help anything other than that. It's still an interesting concept nonetheless.

We, are after all, a product of our genes... they control what we do, not us.

Really? How would you explain crime then? If what you're saying is true then why are we putting millions of people in jail if they had no control over it?

This is strange if it works, I will thank him loads if he makes one what can make your hair grow! I always hate my hair after haircuts and I really don't like waiting for it to grow. ¬_¬

Then why do you get haircuts? :P

I haven't had a haircut for a while, I desperately (Sorry if I spelt that wrong. ><) need one though. I don't like long hair long though, I'm fussy and like it medium.

The back of my hair has reached the bottom of my neck and i'm a boy. D:

Because they can't control what they do and need to be away from society. That way they pose a smaller risk.

Fair enough, but I was mainly getting at the judgment they hold against those people, not the punishment. We judge people based on their actions. Criminals receive negative judgment and are sent off to prison. They are rarely seen as a helpless pawn to their own genes or else the law system and people would probably be more sympathetic generally speaking. But we're a very judgmental race.

Saying that we are a slave to our genes kind of justifies committing crime, but of course it's a given that the crime should be countered with law to prevent it.

I suppose that's where the whole "nature v nurture" argument comes in, as to whether or not it really is their genes or their development. Either way, though, many can't conrol their actions for whatever reason and are shown no sympathy. So I see where you're going, I think.

As Lenin already pointed out, you're just raising the nature vs nurture debate... which is pretty annoying since you're doing it on purpose. It has been shown again and again that we are not slaves to our genes - a dog can be taught to sit at the sound of a bell. That doesn't mean there is a gene saying "sit when you hear the sound of a bell". However, there are genes that make sure mothers respond to the cries of baby birds when they are hungry, that is also fairly obvious. What this scientist is doing is exploiting the reactions to certain stimuli which have been coded by our genes... a woman is not taught to lactate when her child cries.

Wait, does changing your hair and lifestyle count?

On topic, it sounds a bit farfetched. I mean, sound making your boobs bigger just seems like an immense gimmick. Whats next, an iPod song that allows men to last longer in bed?

(you have no idea how many ad's I hear for men and "bed" issues)

I agree. It does seem a bit farfetched. But hey, you saw the proof ::' . It's just going off of the fact that women are meant, maybe not the best word, to become mothers. Therefore, the body reacts in the way that the scientist claims that it does. I would say it is in the genes. A motherly sort of thing.

As a neuroscientist, I'll give him some credit. But based off of one study, no real claims can be made yet. The placebo effect could be occuring for two reasons

1: The ring tone does work as expected and triggers appropriate physiological motherhood responses.

2: The ring tone does not work as expected and the physiological response is due solely to the placebo effect of her expecting larger breasts.

Either way the ring tone technically works, but the acting mechanism differs by a lot, and is the most important variable. He needs to do more varied testing and in larger amounts. This could have been a fluke. Either way, it's very interesting, and hopefully will be applied in a much broader scale than just for aesthetic reasons.

Very true. If the results can be repeated, it earns credibility. Could the woman not just imagine she was pregnant and get the same effect? An alternate ringtone needs to be created, that does not contain this crying, and tested along side of the original.

Doorbell = conidtioned

Baby crying = (I believe) unconditioned

Therefore, doorbell = learned, baby crying = innate

If the 2nd reason were true, then the ringtone would work for basically any woman if they all truly believed that they would get larger breasts. Or does the placebo effect only work on certain people?

The placebo effect works on everybody. But they have to believe that they're getting the real treatment.

Yes, don't get me wrong. I wasn't disagreeing with you on that. I just think it's a stretch to say that we don't control ourselves at all.
