Skill Training Efficiency.

How do you train your skills?

Do you work out the quickest XP/hour, and do that method, or do you prefer money/ an interesting way of training (perhaps one that benefits other skills)?

EDIT: For example, I chose to train Thieving at Master Farmers, instead of Pyramid Plunder, because I would rather have a few extra seeds for Farming.

I cut euc's all the way to 99 woodcutting, so that I wouldn't have to bank as much.

Definately not efficiently, its a game i play for fun, effficiency is rarely fun. I wouldn't play an Xbox game that wasn't fun just to complete it quicker, so why would i in runescape.

I do the fastest methods for pretty much everything, I enjoy to spend money and usually to get somewhere quick in this game you do have to spend a chunk here and there  Very efficient training.

I often go for efficiency, though a lot of times I'm playing while watching a movie/baseball game/talking to people, so I often go for somewhat fast methods that don't require huge amounts of attention (fletching yew longs instead of bolts, chopping Eucalyptus instead of teaks, etc.) so I can train while doing other things. Works quite well for me. I have tried most methods of training most skills, unless it involves losing huge sums of money that I can't afford, so it's really whatever I feel like or can afford at the moment.

For fun

I hate efficient training

or anything boring which is usually efficient

I don't mind splashing money for quick levels but thats why mining, fishing and rcing are low down on my to-do list

I go with a mix of efficiency and fun.

For Thieving, I despise Blackjacking so I stick with Pyramid Plunder.

For Combat, I rarely go to AZ's or Monkeys anymore (did it to 99 Attack) and I'm doing Slayer all the way to 99 Defence.

Oh, most definitely for fun. If I don't enjoy something, I'm not going to do it. I'm here to play and have some fun.

I go for the method that i find most fun. I also tend to like that i get some profit too but i'm trying to find a balance.

New summon monster. You get 99 summon and complete a hard quest to gain the ability to summon Jesus, who splits the waters allowing you to walk to a new port town where you unlock the sailing skill. Obviously ;)

That was Moses you idiot.

That gets fixed in the bugfix the following week. Maybe.

I try to make it efficent but with some profit. I generally won't do a method if I really dislike it either.

Occasionally I'll throw all this to the wind and just burn through a few levels disregarding money, for a certain reason, but I generally don't train that way.

I keep it where it will cost no more than 1m for a good amount of exp, where it's efficient, too, though. I kinda have a small attention span, so I try to keep it fun to train at <_

It depends on the skill. In the case of mining/smithing, I will go for efficiency. Superheat as I go, getting more bars per trip. Runecrafting I will make the runes I will use most for magic, minds and airs (fire strikes, anyone?)

Just about every other skill (keeping in mind I am F2P) I choose the fun and cheap methods.

i train all skills cost efficiently.. 95% of the time i'll farm while training a skill to make sure in the end it positivily effects my cash.

I use the fun (or the least boring) methods, for example, to get 43 prayer I did Holy Grail and One Small Favour quests. I love quests.

To get 70 attack, I just clicked 'accurate' and didn't change until I got it. I didn't even train it purposely. Same for 65 defence.

Boring skills? I don't train them, except maybe for quests. Or by playing minigames. This includes mining, smithing, herblore, fletching, cooking, thieving (though Pyramid Plunder IS quite fun), slayer (I always get the worst assignments, like bronze dragons, three batches of harpie bugs in a row etc), and farming.

When training a skill - for every level i try to do something completly different (makes it way more fun)

i.e - for smithing

i'd do one level making steel plates. The next level I would make and alch stuff in the dwarf furnace. The next level I would buy logs and make hasta's using barbarian smithing. etc..

Quickest exp p/h may not always be the most efficient way.

If you want to be efficient you have to look at things a lot more widely, e.g. you could train a skill slowly, but earn money doing so which then funds another skill. Therefore it is more efficient than say training the first skill quickly, making minimum profit, then being forced to do something else to make money to train the second skill.

I will go for the most efficient method as long as it isnt extremely boring or requires far too much attention. There are times when I train when I know it may not be the best experience but it is atleast fun.
