Maybe if i stand on my knees I can pass for 16, but 11-16 for beta testers, that's welfare Jagex.

The thing is I could totally pass for it BUT when I come around to applying for a job in a year or so's time they'll be like... weren't you 15 last year?

Also it's too short notice. Why can't they do like the other webcompanies I fangirl over and locate up north in Manchester?

*explodes* Wow that would be amazing, it's perfect for me! I live not too far from Cambridge, I'm 16, I'll be applying for University there, and the experience would really help my application.

Wow.

Use your tip.it ninja skills to get in and collect evidence!

Bwahaha. But you've got London down south and EVERYTHING is in London D=

Anyway has nobody considered this COULD be Mechscape? They could be lying about it being Runescape to test.

Maybe they're testing the security keys?

A child security control feature was mentioned for 2009 somewhere, this could be it.

Well it appears my pet rabbit is 12 years old in rabbit years so should we send him in.

If they say yes put on your TF2 Spy outfit Fluffy and get ready. :D

*after some somewhat offtopic kind of stuff*

So if its ready to be tested it should be out soon. ::'

Anyone remember that post awhile ago when Jagex talked about the new security they were working on? Such as being able to limit playing hours.

I'm trying to look for it atm so I'll post it if I find it.

I remember that, I just don't see why testing it would call for children to go there IRL

I suppose they'll want to see if the kids can work and understand it.

And if they release it being buggy they can't just release an update to fix it or anything.

Or to see how kids can get around it. Just ask the parents to set up the options for their kids, then tell the kids to play normally. Just watch them play/record them playing and check for bugs that they discover.

Wow if they need testers its something:

Big.

1st, didn't they break their OWN rule!? 13+ to play!

2nd, if they want testers they must be releasing the super update! Some please go to this and let everyone here on TIF know what the hell it is they're releasing!!!

It is only 13+ to play in normal worlds. Under 13 is limited to quick chat only.

It isn't neccessarily a super update, but with their current track record they may want more help. This is a volunteer only thing, meaning they do not need to hire additional testers (seeing as their current ones seem to be missing major flaws.) This saves them money, time, and gives them a different kind of tester. The current testers would all be older people, all over the age of 18 I would guess. They would be mature, logical, and have a certain process to follow. With children coming in they may do things that people would not normally think to do, just because it would seem stupid to do it, but chances are one of these kids would do it. Just as an example of a recent flaw: If you logged out during the tutorial, you lost all the item in your inventory. A normal person would not think "Oh I just started playing this new content, lets log out." But a child might get distracted and have to leave, go use the bathroom or something.

That is a good point, but I still feel that betweem all of the hints at things such a new tab, night/day, a new skill(possibly) and other big updates, that having kids come in to test something that isn't a big update would be a waste of their time and resources. I honestly feel that it could be either MechScape and they lied, or it's that ground-breaking content that they were going to make into a new game but decided to put into RuneScape.
