  • I watched Ghostbusters last night. Funny movie for those who haven't seen it.

[hide]Old Joe knew Young Joe was at the farm with Cid because of his memories. He also saw Young Joe smashing his cell phone instead of going to the train station earlier in the film[/hide] [hide]I c

Has anyone seen Nacho Libre yet? I'm thinking of watching it :-k

Yeah. I thought it looked stupid but I went because so far Mike White (the writer) hasn't disappointed me - and he didn't again. It was really, really funny. It wasn't stupid funny like Napoleon Dynamite - it was funny like School of Rock.

Guess I'll be watching it then. :)

I watched Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure the other day. Its a legend of a film :D

28 Days Thought it was a decent enough movie, it doesn't really show widthdrawl from addiction at all though and the acting in some places could have been improved

X Men 3: Thought this was a good film and finished off the storyline well. I enjoyed the trilogy as a whole.

there's going to be another one.

OK but X3 finished of the storyline of those characters well. click :P

o ok. interesting. But they really shouldn't make many more.

Last movie i saw in theatres was "da Vinci Code" I mostly watched it because i was skipping school and had no one to hang out with, and because of the "controversy" that was surrounding it at the time. It reminded me A LOT of the movie National Treasure, with all the clue solving and puzzle garbage. It also made me realize how people put ridiculous amounts of faith in things like symbols - even if it was just a movie. :)

In a bit I'm about to finally see Munich.. heard great, great things about this one.

L'Ivresse du pouvoir - Yesterday at the cinema. I wasted enough time for this boring movie, so I'm not going to spend more time writing something about it. 4/10

City Lights - for a silent film, it was pretty funny. charlie chaplin did a good job with this one, allthough the humour is a little odd. had me on the floor at one point, but at others it just seemed kinda stupid. but overall a good movie :D

Rush Hour 2 - a sequel that should not have been made. the first one wasnt anything special, but it did have some funny parts in it. this one had considerably less funny parts in it.

You just saw that movie? :o

I saw Tokyo Drift today. It sucked. I wasn't disappointed as I didn't expect much anyway.

I saw X3. So does Magneto still have his powers, or is he just marginally inclined? Those last bits are always the most cryptic...

It was fairly good. I liked some parts, some parts got kinda boring. I fell alseep through some parts at least. I don't see how its only rated PG.

The way I see it is that it shows that his powers are not gone because "the cure" is not permanent, and his body is actually destroying it like a disease, causing him to regain is powers slowly

I watched Syriana. It was quite slow. It has the same feel as Traffic (well...duh), but seems to lack connection to most of the characters as it just never really gets going. There's so much going on, and it's all too important-like for me to comprehend. I can tell it's written relatively well, it looks good, and there's excellent acting. But there's too many different stories that confuse me. Overall it was a fair movie, but never really satisfying. It's the kind of movie you need to watch again but don't necessarily want to.

I saw Click Thursday night. It was a lot funnier than I expected it to be, but that doesn't necessarily say a lot. I enjoyed it, but it wasn't a cinematic wonder (not that anyone would expect that from an Adam Sandler movie).

If you like Adam Sandler, go see it.

I dunno, Punch Drunk Love was pretty good.

I watched The Three Burials of Melquiades Estrada. It was pretty interesting, much more so than Syriana. It starts out jumping all over the place, which I was enjoying, but soon it stops that pretty much, and goes how most other movies go: linearly. It was one of the best looking movies I've seen in a while, and the character development was incredible. The story is alright, but there is some confusion about what happens at the end, which I won't spoil (there's talk over at IMDB, everyone has a different opinion). It was a good movie, not top 100, but a quality movie (which did pretty good at Cannes), and a solid effort for Tommy Lee Jones directing. It was a worthy watch, I'd say.

Bonnie and Clyde - this movie was pretty enjoyable, an interesting plot and pretty good acting. like butch cassidy and the sundance kid, this movie is about criminals who steal and kill people. and also like it, you are supposed to feel as if they were the good people. didnt really care for that part of either of the movies, but it all works out in the end. a good one to watch, you will be enertained.

i just checked AFI's website of their list of heroes and villans to see if they were on there, and they were. they are number 32 on the villans list. what doesnt make sense is they put butch cassidy and the sundance kid on the "heroes" list, even thought they robbed and killed people also. whats even more weird, is in bonnie and clyde they tried to justify the reasons for bonnie and clyde to do this, like they actually are doing something good. they didnt try to justify anything in butch cassidy and the sundance kid. anyways, they are both good movies. just remember that they kill and steal, so they arent good people.

Cool Hand Luke - this movie was decent, but dragged on a certain points. about a criminal who works in a labor camp, but doesnt really like living by rules of any kind. keep with it to the end, and you may just find its worth your time.

Casablanca - just as good the second time. im definently positive this is in my top 10 favourite movies. definently my favourite romance movie. it got to me a little more than last time, i was a little teary eyed during a few parts of the movie  . definently a must see for everyone, no matter what.

I recently saw Sofia Coppola's Marie Antoinette.

It was disappointing. Visually very pretty, with some memorable scenes, but story- and rhythmwise, it was a mess. I am very fond of the Virgin Suicides, but both this film and Lost in Translation disappointed because of their shallowness (is that a word?). I just never get the impression that Coppola goes beyond the surface. It worked for the mystery of The Virgin Suicides, but it annoys in this film.

12 Monkeys - second time seeing it, but the first time made it one of my favorite movies.

Red Dragon - now one of my favorite movies.

yesterday, I saw The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift! good movie!

and I saw a french movie...lol yes i'm french... and you don't know it! lol

heh, a documentary on bears :P . with an 8.1 rating on imdb no less.

Forbidden Planet - 1956 sci fi movie, that is pretty good. the effects arent all that great, but probably not to bad for the time. its very odd to see a young leslie nielsen playing a serious role, but he actually does pretty good. the plot of the movie is pretty good, and the acting is decent by everyone. if you like sci fi, you will probably appreciate this one. if you dont, you might not like it.

Se7en - probably heard enough about how awesome this movie is, but ill go through it anyways. David Fincher=awesome; Brad Pitt=awesome, Morgan Freeman=awesome, Kevin Spacey=doubly awesome, the story line=awesome, the ending=super duper awesome.

Braveheart - second time watching it, the first time was quite a while ago. its a decent movie, didnt quite catch my interest very much though. i didnt think mel gibson was all that great for the part either, he didnt convince me.

Don't listen to him. It's a terrible documentary. Perhaps technically fine, but grossly boring and the guy was so pretentious (or arrogant, you choose one); he pretty much thinks hes societies better for living with bears. And the interviews they have are terrible. It was one of the worst documentaries I've ever seen.
