BlackDawn
Can they swim? as in what is their swimming range? They CAN swim. Although the distances may vary depending on things such as currents, or even water predators. They cannot swim out into the middle of the ocean, as even raptors get tired. But a stream, or lake, or maybe just off the coast, they can manage. Remember, if you're going out to sea. There are other water dinosaurs to worry about. I think oilplatforms place me out of reach of those noobs Ah, but if you don't know how to service an oil platform it can rust away until it collapses. Plus storms can damage quite a lot. I doubt you have the ability to even reach one, let alonem aintain one. That's why you're on the TZDF blackdawn. Even your balls can tear zombies to shreds. Third, how do you plan on keeping a high internet connection, plus battery for your laptop, out in the middle of the sea? Also, it is impossible for one person to maintain an entire oil platform alone. Especially someone whose only training is a website likely named "Oil platforming for teh lulz". First problem, I dont but i could probably get help at a militairy base to make a little oil platform town. There, second problem solved to, and third, learn to print/save pages on yer comp. and about the battery, i will find an accu large enough. EGmaestro
sorry i didn't know we switched places with raptors... i can definetly see how the human race will be virtually extinct and dino's the size of a large dog will dominate the planet. i must have missed that part.. -.- You play runescape but this thread is beyond your imagination? what?? that doesnt even make sense. runescape has nothing to do with this thread. its in off topic for a reason.. [hide=]That's what I mean to say. Why would the be after US? Cold blooded means that the organism cannot maintain body heat by itself. Not hatred, careless or whatever... Do I need to spell it out for you? It's because velociraptors hate humans. This is why they go after us. They go after us because they hate us. Ergo, they can feel hatred. QED. What I meant, is that most vertebrates can swim instictively for a few minutes. After that, most of them drown (chicken for example). As for the "Hood"; it was "outgunned" by the "Bismarck". I don't see how swimming raptors would have prevented that... Wrong on all counts. Any competent historian will tell you that the HMS Hood was sunk by velociraptors. The Bismarck only lit its guns to make sure the raptors wouldn't sink it as well. But it was sunk anyway. Coincidence? I think not.[/hide] -.- troll. MisterGreen
I didn't read the first post correctly, I simply skimmed through it. But even with every type of dinosaur brought back, with our current technological status, we would have no problem capturing or killing the dinosaurs. Heck, I could even see people using sauropods as a replacement for cows, just one of them could probably feed a small town for a week.
stevepole
Just sorta thinking about it.. If dinosaurs came back you'd think we'd already have some sorta of defense against them or have enough time to set up a solid defense system before they became a huge issue. I don't think they'd just *poof* out of nowhere.

They would start popping up on the surface in a matter of days wreaking havoc wherever they go, including malls. Of course, the gov't would hatch a plan to destroy these creatures with napalm, lots of it, without knowing that fire only speeds their growth even more. WHAT THEN? michel555555
Step one- go into secret underground bunker that we will probably build now for such an ocasion(looks at zdf base, but will have much cooler avatars) completly stocked with food and amunition. step two- find as many nests of dinosaurs as can be found and steal as many eggs as possible. step three- hatch and make them belive me to be the mother. step four- upgrade them with the best possible armour know to man. equiped with automatic machine guns strapped to their backs that will fire on any dinosaur not wearing a suit of armour. step five- dino wars begins! and i thought that the jurry was still out with whether dinosaurs were even cold blooded or reptiles? Forgive me for my ignorance i havn't had much of an interest in dinos for like 6 years. Just sorta thinking about it.. As a child I saw Tarzan almost naked, Cinderella arrived home from a party after midnight, Pinocchio told lies, Aladin was a thief, Batman drove over 200 miles an hour, Snow White lived in a house with seven men, Popeye smoked a pipe and had tattoos, Pac man ran around to digital music while eating pills that enhanced his performance, and Shaggy and Scooby were mystery solving hippies who always had the munchies.
