For some reason the Norwegian name for that is wiener toast.Hmm? French toast is any kind of toast that's coated with an egg and milk mixture, then cooked. One variation of Monte Cristo is a grilled ham and cheese sandwich, using French toast as the bread. Give it a try, it tastes delicious and it's about as easy as a grilled cheese... I usually don't eat lunch at school, since it's too early and it's rather overpriced (among other reasons), so I just take a French fry (chip, for you Brits?) or two from each of them.
