October 25, 200916 yr Someone on Mechscapeworld found this video on youtube. If you think it is a fake, think again. There is little to no chance of it being fake. It seems to be the video Poultry Champ was supposed to receive during her interview months ago. Here is the link to the thread I found it in. http://www.mechscapeworld.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=10255 Edit: I had to put another video up because the original was deleted. If a mod does not want me to have this up, you can edit my post. The new video does not have the original music, but has the best quality I could find.
October 25, 200916 yr I thought it's supposed to have a different engine than runescape's? It looks very similar (aside from obvious new additions).
October 25, 200916 yr Holy [cabbage]! That looks pretty fun. Does anyone else think this "leak" or whatever you call it was intentional by Jagex? I thought it's supposed to have a different engine than runescape's? It looks very similar (aside from obvious new additions). It is a different engine, but it uses parts from the Runescape engine as well. [software Engineer] - [Ability Bar Suggestion] - [Gaming Enthusiast]
October 25, 200916 yr Author I thought it's supposed to have a different engine than runescape's? It looks very similar (aside from obvious new additions). Nope it runs off of the Runetek engine.The reason runescape looks like it does now is because of Stellar Dawn/Mechscape/13 Worlds. It seems this video was made quite a bit ago. I could only assume once you put this in Stellar Dawn's HD mode, you add the interface, bring in the new features it will present, and all that other Jazz, it will look better than Runescape. However, chances are because it is on the same engine, it will look slightly like RS.
October 25, 200916 yr Also, this video was made late 08 to early 09 because of the "coming in Spring 2009" line at the end. So they had 8 months to change the graphics. [software Engineer] - [Ability Bar Suggestion] - [Gaming Enthusiast]
October 25, 200916 yr It looks very RuneScape-like, however, it does look good. Hopefully the end product will be awesome. :D ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)RIP Michaelangelopolous
October 26, 200916 yr Combat looks like the same boring "click to attack, pray for high hits". The only different thing I saw was the player dive to the side when he passed the turret, but that could have nothing to do with combat, and be more of an agility type obstacle. Overall it looks like a reskinned Runescape. I do hope they are remaking it like they said.
October 26, 200916 yr Guys, dont worry about what you see in this video. Stellar dawn recently got scrapped (MMG confirmed it on www.mechscapeworld.com) and they are re-doing the whole game. MMG and Andrew thought that the game was not up to their standards, and most of you agree with them that it doesnt appear to be that great of a game. So be glad they are re-doing it. :) This video does provide some pretty cool insights into Stellar Dawn though. It would be interesting to compare the final game to this video. -------------------------------------------------------------------

I'd take what you read on MSW a little lighter than you are. Sure the game is getting an overhaul, but scrapped is not the key word. It's not like they are starting completely from scratch. In fact, to quote Mod Mark Gerhard..... ...not all was lost as we naturally have developed the game engine substantially over the last few years and the new designs benefits massively from this as well as a ton of experience within the team as to what works and what doesnt. So whilst the content and a lot of the game play will change from what was previously built almost everything else will go straight back into Stellar Dawn. Personally I think this means they are completely changing the way the game plays, but not the graphics or models. A lot of people seem to be upset with the way it looks, because honestly it does look like Runescape in SD mode. I would love if Jagex would change the models around, and even move to a different engine, but chances are they won't.
October 26, 200916 yr I'm downloading the video right now for future reference. Just in case it gets deleted. I also want to compare the released version and this one to see what changes they make. There being no skills in this version should be interesting. No grinding at leveling and just pure game-play. I hope they have quests.
October 26, 200916 yr It looks good, but as others have said, it looks very Rs-esque. I hope they do change it, as it is just runescape with a different setting looking at that video. October 26, 200916 yr Gaaaaaaah It's gone already >.< I edit for the [Tip.It Times]. I rarely write in [My Blog]. I am an [Ex-Moderator].

October 26, 200916 yr Gaaaaaaah It's gone already >.< Hold on just a sec, I'll find another one to put up.There's no point putting it back on youtube, they will just remove it. The fact that it is removed makes me think its quite similar to what the actual game will look like, despite the "Rework". "It's not a rest for me, it's a rest for the weights." - Dom Mazzetti
October 27, 200916 yr It looks rather disappointing if you ask me. Looks like my gaming will no longer be provided courtesy of Jagex. [bleep] the law, they can eat my dick that's word to Pimp

MMG just did a follow-up forum post to this video (link: http://[Censored - Don't use a URL shortner]/QhHc1) and he stated that the graphics in this game were developed before even Runescape HD came out. Therefore, the graphics in the video are nowhere near what the final game is going to be like. The delay is probably going to cause the graphics to be even better than Runescape HD as well. So yes, the graphics are going to be completely changed, not just the gameplay. -------------------------------------------------------------------
October 27, 200916 yr OH.... MY.... GOD.....! O.O Makes me want it out now. :( ........::::: Rainy's YouTube Channel - Rainy's Twitter - Rainy's Facebook - Rainy's DeviantArt - Rainy's Tumblr - Rainy's Tip.It Profile :::::.........
October 27, 200916 yr Did anybody else wish the video was just a few seconds longer so that we could see what that thing drops? Tbh, it looks like a RS in space, but I'm glad MMG scrapped it to a certain extent. Still, I WANT IT NOW!
October 29, 200916 yr Author 4:22 looks hd. I think it is. This was made around the time they were experimenting with HD. Runescape hadn't even had HD yet, so chances are this was probably a small clip taken from one of the few HD areas.
October 30, 200916 yr Its times like this that i wish i didn't have dial up so i could actually watch it sometime this week :angry: [spoiler=click you know you wanna]Me behave? Seriously? As a child I saw Tarzan almost naked, Cinderella arrived home from a party after midnight, Pinocchio told lies, Aladin was a thief, Batman drove over 200 miles an hour, Snow White lived in a house with seven men, Popeye smoked a pipe and had tattoos, Pac man ran around to digital music while eating pills that enhanced his performance, and Shaggy and Scooby were mystery solving hippies who always had the munchies. The fault is not mine! if you had this childhood and loved it put this in your signature!
November 12, 200916 yr EDIT: NVM, found it one a weird jap site. This looks really cool but I couldn't see much because quality was crap.
