Thieving.

And NO, you can't use the "theiving -> gloves of silence -> crafting -> gold/silver" crap.

Thieving -> Money from Thieving -> Buy smithed equipment?

The Greatness that is the Tree Gnome Delivery minigame certainly does not revolve around smithing.

Nor does the epic quest, Romeo and Juliet, which offers no rewards outside of quest points and satisfaction.

Romeo and Juliet > Potions > Combat > Weapons and Armor > Metal > Smithing

But you don't actually make a potion, nor do you actually get a useful potion, nor do you get herblore xp.

But you do get cadavaberries for a potion :P

Cbow! Cbow!!!!! +120 range is orgasmic. Or maul, thats what I'd get out of those two options.

I agree with baconisbacon, Cbow looks freaking sensual

used in combat =/= smithing

Exactly... How can you say something like:

Farming

to make food used in combat > combat can use smithed armour

That doesn't connect farming to smithing that connects farming to cooking. Just because food is used in combat does not mean it is related to smithing because like kenshinjapan said, used in combat =/= smithing.

ah! 6 degrease of seperation!

for thouse who dont know, there is a fact that with many many thing on 1 subjest / place / afect ect you can go from one thing to another in just 6 steps. noone knows if its true but its gona be hard to find something that does not folow this rule.

eg, 1 random person ANYWHERE on the planet will ofen be abel to sent a letter to a totaly unrelated person thay have no clue where/who he/she is, by sending it one person and then thay send it to another, 6 times.

anyway...

well without doing anything i can tell you anything that is used to make money or used in combat, can be used for smithing (try thinking of something that fits nither of thouse >:))

for now i will limit my self to 2 jumps.

Agility

smithed armour > being used to guard your self when training

or being able to run longer when smithing

Construction

clockwork

Cooking

to make food used in combat > combat can use smithed armour

Crafting

silver/gold

Farming

to make food used in combat > combat can use smithed armour

Firemaking

to make food used in combat > combat can use smithed armour

Fishing

to make food used in combat > combat can use smithed armour

Fletching

arrow heads

Herblore

to make potions used in combat > combat can use smithed armour

Hunter

to make food/items used in combat > combat can use smithed armour

Magic

combat can use smithed armour (people can and do mage in melee armour)

Mining

smithing pic / useing the ore for smithing

Prayer

holy/unholy simbol

Ranged

smithing arrow heads > used as range ammo

you could say thats 3 jumps becouse fletching could be put in there but idc.

Runecrafting

used for magic > mage is combat

Slayer

in order to slay (efectively) people need armour, and some of that armour is smithable

Smithing

umm, err. i dont know of how that could relate to smithing :P

Summoning

minotor second's

Thieving

i really dont know

Woodcutting

smithing axe's

...

all combat mini games can use smithed armour (sc counts)

also for barrows, the armour can be fixed with the smiting skill.

GOP lets you make runes > used for mage combat

MA can use smithed items as a comodity

kingdom management can used mineing to gain favour > mineing used for smithing

eh i cant be bothered to think anymore about this for now.

For such a long quote I added hide tags, you can thank me with money

[/hide]

No. No. No. You can take what the skill is a subskill of and relate it to smithing that way, but you can't do it the other way around. So no mage does not use smithing, nor does fishing, or woodcutting, hunter, herblore, firemaking, or agility.

In one step, and only one step, link agility to smithing.

If it's an unlimited amount of steps, it's effortless.

Cats are supernovas.

How?

Cats are animals. Animals require nourishment. Nourishment is energy. Energy is in supernovas.

Cats are related to supernovas.

The only difference between Hitler and the man next door who comes home and beats his kids every day is circumstance. The intent is the same-- to harm others.

[hide=Tifers say the darndest things]

I told her there was a secret method to doing it - and there is - but my once nimble and agile fingers were unable to perform because I was under the influence.

I would laugh, not hate. I'm a male. :(

Since when was Ireland an island...? :wall:

I actually have a hobby of licking public toilet seats.

Smithing makes armour, which, when worn, weighs you down, decreasing you agility ability(super rhyme). It doesn't need to affect i in a GOOD way, does it?

Besides the fact that that is three steps, it's not right. Armor does not decrease your agility, armor decreases how long your run energy lasts for which is a separate interface in the game, increasing agility helps this but does not affect the armor in any way.

It gives you a greater chance of failing an agility obstacle dependant on weight

I'm just going to warn people to keep their replies serious on this thread.

If you think this is a stupid thread then just don't post here, but I'm not going to lock it just because people think the topic is stupid. If people start making more stupid replies that aren't contributing to the topic at hand then you'll get in trouble for spam. If you don't like a topic, don't read it. It's THAT incredibly simple.

You might say every skill has an obscure, indirect connection to smithing, but that doesn't mean everything REVOLVES around smithing. The latter implies that the skill would be impossible without the help of smithing, which I don't think is true of ANY skill outside of melee skills. And besides, smithing is NOT the core skill by this definition of obscure relations. How does one train smithing that OP says feeds into everything else in Runescape? Getting ores. How are the ores obtained? Mining. Therefore, by OP's definition of revolving, the whole game revolved around mining.

<_< With the posters logic, i could say that everything is revolved around bronze: it is the 1st metal you get, you start your skills from first level, and hp has number 1 on it.
