So I'm officially up to date with Lost. This last season isn't very good, to be honest. Some questions were answered I guess, but Jack's character is getting more and more annoying.

 

This is kind of funny, since I and probably a lot of others think that Jack is finally being a cool dude rather than a whiny control freak. You just watched the entire series in like a week, and I'm sure that has an effect. Like the cage scenes at the beginning of S3, six episodes worth of that when they were airing once a week was torture, but watching on DVD makes them a lot more bearable. Dunno if you noticed anything about those eps or not.

 

Season 6 rocks. Now that it's out in the open, I'm pumped for Richard next week too.

Out of the entire cast, only one or two people are fairly difficult to get at all. Matthew Fox being one of the tougher cookies of the bunch - Michelle Rodriguez can be pretty tricky - but shes obtainable.

 

The cool thing about lost autographs is Inkworks AND rittenhouse have put out sets with certified autographs from the cast on it that are fairly comprehensive (Fox didn't sign for either set, and dont think he's done a convention appearance anywhere)

 

I've never seen an episode, but it does have some hot ladies and some people key to other projects i am working on.

 

But compare it to a show like say Buffy, Angel, Charmed of cult classics or something like Desperate Housewives, Heroes and other hit shows and Lost by far is a very fan friendly cast thats 1) widely available certified on card and 2) Fairly approachable and doesnt mind that they have a fanbase, I haven't heard many negative stories about any cast members really, cant say that for most shows.

It was pretty great, not my favourite but I'm liking getting more of a handle on the main storyline.

I can't watch yet, have to wait for Hulu to put it on. ugh, why do I have to work on tues. nights >.<

but this episode was worthless. i'm not saying it's bad, but it's worthless. every characteristic that made richard amazing was basically blown out between this ep and the last one. from him attempting suicide that made him from one of the badasses on the island to a whimpering [kitty], and him being shown as nothing more than just a lostie given immortality by jacob. and i know yes they answered questions, but like someone said, in the grand scheme of things, it was just details that didn't drive anything to the main storyline. it was basically just an episode to please the hardcore fanboys.

I completely agree. I was hoping for "epic" unravelling, I may be a newcomer to this show, but this is the final season. So why is it of the same caliber, and the same... eh I guess you could say mood. Answer a tiny bit of one mystery, then create a whole new mystery good grief. At least now we know how the statue got knocked over :P But why is the statue there? Thats what I really want to know, what ties this to the "outside" world.

We finally know why Richard was on the island. I'm satisfied with this episode.

 

Oh, and we know why the statue was broken.

I enjoyed the last few episode's immensely, it was brilliant (in my opinion at least) to see Richard(o)'s background story, I thought it was really interested and good to see we got some mysteries peeled about the ship, the statue, Richards gift and how he got there ect.

That was Desmond, wasn't it? :P Assuming it was him at the end staring into the now freak of a Syaid (spelling! :P) eyes, I'm guessing that 'the package' being Desmond has something to do with the way he is 'special' (according to the now deceased Daniel Faraday.) and that the rules don't apply to him, perhaps that was only for time-travel but I'm nearly sure it will play a part. Maybe he'll be able to kill Locke/Smokey? Also liking the way Widmore is now the good guy, dunno why. XD

 

I was thrown off by the fact when Sawyer asked Locke that he didn't just 'fly himself over to the other island' by changing into the Piller of Smoke, is it like something to do with he can only change at certain times? Only when theres fear or something? I could just be plucking at straws that don't exist.

 

All very exciting though. :P

The water theory is sound. That would explain why the main Dharma base is on Hydra island and they had a settlement protected by pylons on the main island. We know he is trapped on the island, so he shouldn't be able to just go smokey and fly off the island if he wants to. It looks like in his Locke form he can leave though, so that's why he needs the plane to leave. Once he gets on the mainland he is free to do what he wants, as long as he does not cross water.

So do you think everyone has their 'counter-person' on the island? Like Faraday and the red head, Desmond and Penny, and Charlie and Claire?

I heard a theory that I really like and makes a lot of sense. Perhaps Eloise engineered the AR in order to keep Daniel, because in the OR she knew she would accidentally kill him. Whatever happened, happened. So instead of trying to change things in the OR, she made sure Faraday went through with his plan so that the AR would be created where he was still alive and well. She seems to have a freaky awareness of both realities and all times, so she would be able to enjoy her "reward."

 

Now Desmond's going to screw it up for her.

[hide=Spoiler]We knew there was going to have to be a link between both realities, but I had completely forgotten about Desmond, lol. When I saw him in the second last episode, I knew things were going to start getting more interesting. Though they don't have a lot of time left to go through with any of the possible end scenarios I can think of.

 

With Faraday making the connection about him setting off the bomb though, that was a bit too...unexplained? It made some sense to how he would come to the conclusion but it just felt like the writers did this to move the story along without adding anything unique to it. Was somewhat disappointed at this.

 

I'm really hoping that Desmond is able to have a consciousness in both realities, as then I won't have to freak out about each reality not knowing of the other reality.[/hide]

Nothing like a good ol' Desmond episode. They're always fantastic and tie up a lot of loose ends. He's the joker in the deck.

I very much enjoyed last nights episode. Without reiterating what everyone else has said I'm just going to say I can't wait for next week! :)

Hated this episode. I HATE these piece of crap side\back stories. Way to take up a whole episode. Watched the whole episode in 20 minutes.

New episode tonight! Got to squeeze it into my studying schedule.
