Two adults stopped me on my resume-dropping stroll to tell me they had fallen in love with my style today.

Guess what I was wearing (amongst other things, thank the Lord), rangeor?

That's right.

It starts with an F and ends with a lannel shirt.

(for the record, I was wearing an open thick black cardigan, brown/black/blue accent flannel shirt, top button closed, tucked into my dark wash blue jeans, a red shoelace for a belt, white socks, red Vans Authentics, and my natural good looks.)

They're overused, too many people wear them on their own, especially skaters. I only have one plaid pattern my wardrobe.

Depends on the pattern for me. If it's grungy, I doubt I'll like it. But plaids can be very cool. Flannels usually have less desirable patterns to me, so cotton is a win-win. But if it's bright and cheerful, and the shirt is cut well, I generally want the [cabbage] out of it.

I don't mind plaid shirts but I'm getting so tired of seeing the oversized fratty plaid shorts a lot of guys wear. Suddenly throw on a polo and some boat shoes and you've got style? At least they're better than cargo shorts... my number one peeve about male summer clothing. Your shorts should not be as large as your shirt.

To be honest, I don't think that they look terrible, I'm just not too keen on them.

@Thammaron: I'm a skater too. Not a reason to wear XL on top and 510 at the bottom. Not that baggy t-shirts and leggings aren't trendy.

Also, can someone suggest to me some legging wear that isn't a form of pants ? I have an indecent amount of boxer shorts, but I doubt I can wear them outside.

Eh' nothing is wrong with them, I wear jeans and pants all the time but I like the comfort of shorts. Is it possible to stay classy and comfortable ? [A non issue this time of year, since it's winter but oh well.]

I like your shirt, dan. Harrinator's looks good, except I don't like brown. That's just personal preference, though.

 

I should start looking for a boater hat. Good for warm days, because I find straw versions of true hats ridiculous. And a hat made of felt when it's hot is just plain ridiculous.
