I think the new demo tutorial is great. If I were a new player, I'm pretty sure I'd have that urge to go on a lot.

 

 

Also, the narrator had a female voice- is that for everyone, or depending on your gender (I created a female character)?

 

Mine was female also.

 

 

My narrorator was female and i made a male character, so its for everyone. also, sir vant sounds like hes got a cold and your avatar sounds like hes a child.......

seriously they could have added these challenges as a minor update with another this isnt a weeks updates surely...?

That's not very reasonable, is it? I mean, this is new content, not a tweak to existing content. And you can't get a new skill every week.

 

Has anything of note been changed in Dungeoneering? They decided not to list anything so I'm curious about changes (other than reward costs) that go beyond mere bug fixes.

I'm glad they made the special tasks consistent throughout the slayer masters rather than just Kuradel. It makes logical sense. Thrilled they finally added a left-click clearing option for weeds and dead plants. Nice and streamline now. :)

 

Oh no...they 'fixed' the ancient mace spec in the patch notes. Does this mean I can't boost to 95 prayer anymore for my F2P wars? Crap!

 

EDIT: Nope, mace specs can still be used for f2p wars. Wahoo!

Real men..or women use zaros altar. None of those smack goblins with mace stuff, we pray to the evil lord for the lulz.

 

Kinda curious as well to see what fixes did Jagex do in D'eering. I mean either they are extremely lazy to list all of them, or there are way too many fixes. I am going to guess both.

That is true, I did some very rough math in my head. You receive roughly 400k prayer exp if you max out melee with armour zombies. However, a small bonus is a bonus.

Duoing? - About 15

Soloing? - About 15-20

 

Bad/average/random teams? 30+

That is true, I did some very rough math in my head. You receive roughly 400k prayer exp if you max out melee with armour zombies. However, a small bonus is a bonus.

 

I was thinking in terms of slayer, certainly by the time you're using kuradel there are very few tasks that actually drop bones, so the best usage is indeed AZ/bandits, but even then it's very small as you said.

I have complete and utter faith in the average Runescape players' ability to understand that the impact bonecrusher has is insignificant. The dragon bones will not crash because the players understand what is going on, and I will not lose a ton of money because I just got 95 prayer last week...

It seems none of the fixes included something about removing the additional, undocumented penalties against your "base" floor exp and prestige (can't really call it a base, can we?).

 

Oh well, at least I'll get my arcane stream necklace exactly at 70 with some tokens to spare.

Got my scroll of life, which probably won't actually save me much money, but does take away a bit of the sinking feeling I get every time I see a dead patch. :D I'm saving for a gem bag next because I always end up getting a handful of gems each task; it'll be nice to have a single slot for them and not have to leave any saphs behind anymore.

A few changes to dungeoneering I've noticed:

I can eat while running now

The Stab and Crush attacks from spears have new animations

Wow I drank a magic potion and it boosted my Magic by 25 levels. That's a 75% damage boost! Stack it with a 30% damage boost staff, and you'll have a 105% damage boost!

 

I'm confused about prestige. As of now I'm level 38 in Dungeoneering so I have one more level to go until I can enter the next floor. What I am doing right now is clearing floor 19 over and over (and resetting after every completed floor) until I've advanced a level. Am I doing it the right way?

The instant demo is nothing new been out for a few months if you loaded it using miniclip, it would always be there.

 

Wasn't expecting much this week, so its ok that its only a small one. But the reward prices are a :thumbup:.

 

Getting Gem bag and Bonecrusher before i start slaying again.

It may seem insignificant, but it does build up over time, especially for those who never pick up bones. I know some people don't even pick up Big Bones during tasks, leading to a loss of up to ~3k exp during the tasks, and for those who are highly combat oriented, they leave probably more than 10k exp worth of bones around per day, which comes out to more than 70k per week, or more than 300k exp per month, which for some...could make a entire level difference, especially those who do not wish to spend massive amounts of money on Dragon Bones.

 

I do think that it will impact Dragon Bone prices, but as you said, it will be rather insignificant in the long run, the exp rate from the Bonecrusher is slower than straight up burying bones on f2p.

Not with the fall in gem prices. And besides, a 30 second trip to the bank and telly back every two hours is hardly an inconvenience.
