The fact that there are a million different video formats out there and I just happen to have a million clips that I need to turn into a movie that are in a format no normal video making software will touch. And can't convert it into anything reasonable aswell...

Just a thought, but if quality isn't paramount, then perhaps you could play the clips in a media player that understands them, and then record them with another program at the same time into a format that is actually useful. A bit cumbersome, and probably time consuming, but it might be of some use.

 

Following my gripe about trying to open doors while I'm doing my thing, are people who don't knock on my bedroom door, and people who do knock, and take silence as an invitation to come in see if I'm there. Someone came up while I had headphones in, and I thought my heart was going to stop (my room is up a flight of stairs, with the door at the bottom, and its not possible to see if its open from inside my room). I've also had people get as far as opening my door while I'm still asleep (sleeping in, not middle of the night people being creepy), which instantly wakes me up.

Look, yesterday was one of the greatest sporting achievements of all time as far as I'm concerned, and it's one that will have physiotherapists and conditioners scratching their heads in disbelief, but he is still human. I think this is what they call word inflation, and all examples of it wind me up.

I don't know about you, but the music on the radio stations I listen to isnt censored. And one of the DJs says god damn all the time. and I live in Missouri.

I seem to have so little time and so much things I want to do. I can't wait till it's summer again and I can spend all day doing whatever I feel like.

 

Also, I usually turn on the radio in the morning while I'm dressing up for school. The annoying bit is that I usually leave for school at 8, and I'm usually dressing up from 7:55 to 8, so almost the whole time I'm listening to the pre-news ads. No music, no news, just dumb ads. That annoys me.

Not to mention kids know and have used plenty of swears by age 10 anyway. At least in the US.

We wouldn't need all of this censorship stuff if people, music, and the media weren't so vulgar in the first place. Like honestly, can I listen to any 'modern' songs within my preferred genres without hearing a curse word? The answer is usually no.

I can understand the need/desire for censorship, I was just complaining that they seem to have missed the point of censoring something. Kids can handle swearing. They (And most likely, many adults) can't handle the rest of the content in that series. If you're going to show Criminal Minds at all, why cut out the swearing? It's the least objectionable thing in the series, and if you censored everything else, you'd just be left with the opening credits. By airing it at all you acknowledge that your audience is capable of handling the fact that it's an unbelievably dark show about insane serial killers.

 

I'm starting to thing that censors are starting to forget what they're there for. It's not the swearing, it's the content that leads to it. Music with a singer that swears is harmless. Music where the singer swears about something adult is a bit different. In the end, you just have people growing up thinking that swearing equals maturity/adulthood, when it's the rest of it that does. Which is probably why a lot of the stuff aimed at teenagers has more needless swearing and vulgarity than stuff aimed at adults.

 

Also if I'm not coherent, it's because I'm on nighttime cold medicine. Does that affect coherence? Probably not, but it's the only excuse I've got.

I like swear words. I think they can be really funny. I try to use them sparingly because I know that some people don't feel the same way, but sometimes a sentence just needs the word "mother[bleep]er" in it.
