I only really began to appreciate sig figs in university... in high school and college/cegep they make your life a living hell (unnecessarily, like you said).

I understand that, but it would make a lot more sense to just use logic instead of having to write on unnecessary zeros.

Not the number itself, the measurement (don't forget the cm). Writing 11 cm implies you can only be precise to the centimeter, whereas writing 11.0 cm implies you were precise to the millimeter. Its dumb but it makes sense when you're reading scientific papers - sig figs help everyone be on the same page in a way.

Sounds like any other song that most people like. Generic stuff. I've heard a lot of more horrible music. I'd rather hear that song than listen to any metal-core stuff, ugh! But it would be more interesting to hear her voice naturally than computerized.

I'm annoyed on myself. I wonder why i watch Sunday Supplement on Sky every Sunday morning.

1: It seems to be the same type of topics every time, and the same teams every time. Yes, Chelsea is a bigger team than Norwich, but why not talk about how well Norwich is doing for once?

2: They seem to hate Italian football and Capello.

3: According to them, no one can make a controlled tackle. And tackling should basically be abolished, it seems.

4: They talked about Ronaldo being apparently being unhappy the last time, and if he comes available on the market for 40-50m £ and not "silly money" they pondered whether Man U would re-buy him or not. 50m quid is not silly money? *facepalm*

The less said about metal-core, the better. Actually, after I posted that, I looked at the whole of the top 40 for this week and... good god. I actually quite like pop, I'm not one of these hipsters who thinks that rock is "real music", but I think I only liked about four or five songs on the whole list.

 

On the football, all I can say is this: Welcome to the Sky Sports/talkSPORT era, and welcome to 24/7 rolling sports news. The fact they have to get glorified page 3 models to read the news just to keep the attention of a predominently male audience is telling me even they know it's a painful exercise scraping meat off the bone.

You really think it's that bad? I'd never heard it before but it sounds pretty decent, a lot better than most music played on the radio imo.

People seem to walk into my room when a kissing/nudity scene is playing. That's hard to explain to parents who think every American/British show is dirty.

Oh, I've experienced that problem before. Parents love walking in when the sexy scenes start. I've had that happen when watching scrubs too ._.

I don't mind Gimmie what you got. Frexxx is tolorable. Dance is just terrible. I won't argue that any of them are quality music, but the first one in particular does seem to appeal to me on some level.

 

And while we're on the topic, I hate people walking in an inappropriate or misleading times during a movie.
