I voted for the mummy costume. Nothing says lawsuit for copyright infringement like a co-ordinated 'Zombie Dance' with people dressed as ghosts, zombies and mummies.

I also was hoping for the Mummy costume...I stock up on weird items of clothing for videos. Bone Brooch is nice in theory but for those who don't have the easter ring there's always the ring of stone. Why bother adding on yet another one of those then? After all I'd take being a rock or an egg any day over being a pile of bones :P. As far as the pets, its pretty much the same argument from me. We've been loaded with holiday pets, and as cute as they are, the concept is starting to feel a bit tired. I'm also pretty sure if a pet won we'd have lag spikes like no tomorrow :lol:!

I think that Jagex will make the bones distinctive, so that's not going to help anyone.

I went with the bat, even though it's hardly going to win. I don't like playing dress up, and a skeletal puppy would look gauche in my menagerie (if indeed it can go there). Maybe if I had another volcano biome one it would fit. Bats fit everywhere.

Pumpkin seeds would be nice, but not as a decorative holiday event.

Hell yeah I'd rather have an easter ring clone. The easter ring is awesome.

 

Actually, I really like all the options in this poll. Well, except the skeletal puppy; I'm not a dog person. But yeah, nothing nearly as lame as that crappy Chocatrice Cape, or the Grim Reaper Hood that looks idiotic with no matching robes.

I'd like bandages, take them and lay around in the duel arena hospital after a particularly hard boss fight or such. Skeletal puppy may be nice, but I really don't have pets out anymore.

I voted Pumpkin seeds, those should be nice. But as always holiday events in Runescape are pathetic as always. A quest verbally adapted for kids, and rewards that rarely will be used and "holiday" cheer [cabbage].

 

Jagex should release more Halloween related clothing though, that would be nice for Runescape video editors. Example of this Halloween set of items:

 

1) Scythe

2) Scarecrow set

3) Mummy set

4) Witch set

 

 

Result === HAPPY PLAYERS (Not me, but those who like this kind of stuff). A simple reward is just crap.

I was torm between the pump seeds and bone brooch, but we already have an egg ring, and I think that creating lasting decorations could possibly create interesting side effects like the snow drifts from the globe...but oh well.

 

EDIT: Also, I am waiting for a rerelease of scythes for people WHO HAD AN ACCOUNT, but not anyone else, because being selfish is more fun.

I really don't get how people are complaining that the "majority" aren't being listened to in terms of rewards. That's exactly the point of this poll, to get what the majority want! If the majority want mummy clothes, then that's what they'll vote for.

I voted for the Bone Brooch, with the mummy costume a close second. I'd love to have an Easter egg-like item and I've got plenty of holiday costume items sitting with Diango as it is (limited F2P bank space :wall: )

Technically, it's being decided on a plurality, not a majority. But I think it's safe to say that based on its popularity in this poll, we'll probably see a mummy costume sometime in the future anyway.

I'd still rather have no poll and have Jagex surprise us, horrible or not..

 

Knowing what we're gonna get ruins the [very little] fun of the whole event, IMO.

Personally I think the bone brooch is very dumb. I voted for the mummy costume with squeak in a close second. How is squeak even remotely close to the pumpkin seeds...

In the near future: RSOF complains about bad rewards even though they were player suggestions and implementation was based on a poll.

 

Jagex should stop making holiday events altogether since kids seem to be under the impression that the rewards should be useful.

Agreed. I think the Mummy Costume is the best choice in my opinion. The others are either boring or rip offs. We don't need another pet, we already got the Squirrels. We certainly don't need another Morphing item. We already have one. (NOTE: I never got the Easter Ring. ;) )
