It's an event directly made by our forum that happened to be on another site, and the trolls are doing things deliberately to bother us. I agree with Nick's analogy (?) of school rules on a field trip.

However, there are no reasonable grounds to prove guilt on anyone, and it happens offsite, where there is no control by admins here.

 

I think it's a pity some people use the method of cowardly slandering others offsite, and certainly the forum could do without them, but in order to keep moderation standards high and reasonable I can't see a reasonable justification for taking action.

I honestly don't see the difference. It is all mindless flaming meant to provoke a response, a.k.a. trolling. Ignoring it is the best course of action.

 

Banning people will only make them want to destroy the logo more.

They dislike the people who disagree with them on the debate threads. Which is wierd because even I see everyone on OT as a friend even if we disagree on every debate ever.

Banning someone for doing something off-site is asinine, despite the obvious problems with finding who is responsible. If someone went on my Youtube channel (which is my forum name by the way) and posted "Sere, you're a [bleep]. Go die!" should that person get banned? Even though it was a very mean and uncalled for comment, it still happened on another site. Actions on an autonomous site should not carry over to another.

 

Anyway, the above has happened to me before, at least on a video about me. What did I do? I laughed and moved on.

 

Also, one final note. Even if you banned someone, they can still view this thread. It's basically impossible to keep that from happening. IP banning won't help much, either.

As many have probably suspected, I too have vandalized the Rune Tips and OT logo. I was the one that always used lime green. I also spent over 20,000 ink today to white out OT. I never used bots or drawing tools though. In my defense, I never posted insults or curses towards any member of TIF. I see it perfectly innocent to erase what people have created, on a ball designed for complete chaos. I do not hate anybody here, I did it purely for enjoyment. If I am perma-banned after 4 years for doing something so meaningless, I'll merely laugh.
