Only one of the new rewards has any sort of use, which is the scroll of efficiency, could save quite a bit of money towards 99 smithing if you chose to smith instead of smelt. I guess the ring has its uses too but as I don't use specials while doing Slayer it's no good to me.

 

Oh well, new floors should be fun when I eventually get there. Only 63 Dungioneering at the moment so it's not as if they're any use to me.

 

Best part of the update is higher rate on the construction rocks, no more 2k planks to get both of them!

So claws can still only spec twice? DDS, however, will be able to spec 6 times in a row.

That seems overpowered, but I'm not sure.. 32k tokens is still quite a lot too lose imo

Granite maul = 50% Look above

DDS = 15% spec, so 15, 30 , 45 ,60 , 75, 90

 

Which is a far cry from what you said. (DDS spec is meh compared to claws anyway)

Magical Blastbox

 

Requires a Magic level of 30, a Runecrafting level of 30, and a Dungeoneering level of 30. This arcane device absorbs and store the runes that would be used to cast bolt or blast spells, meaning that you only have to waste one inventory space when casting these spells. Choose a type of spell for your blastbox (bolt, blast) by right-clicking the blastbox and selecting 'Check/charge', or charge it with the required runes for a spell by clicking 'Charge'.

 

Casting your chosen type of spell will decrease the number of rune charges in the blastbox. You may still use a staff in conjuction with the blastbox to cast spells, and you may use non-stored runes in conjunction with runes from the box, as long as you are using them both to cast spells that are of the same type as the box.

The bonecrusher now works for Bork.

 

Corrected a few typos in Treasure Trails.

 

The Group Gatestone Teleport spell now lights up correctly when you have the runes to cast it.

 

Adjusted the costs of runes in Dungeoneering and increased the rate at which you craft them.

 

Added a couple of Quick Chat phrases under General -> Comments.

 

We've increased the size of the rope's clickable area in the Living Rock Caverns.

Magical box is useless.

Blastbox - [developmentally delayed]ed. Why not all elemental spells? Useless for members.

I wouldn't pick any herb with a price below 5k. You can choose which herbs to be cleaned so I don't see the problem. Cleaning the useless guams, marrentils and etc is not a bad thing (Anyways Avantoe Gloves > Herbacide)

Woot fast c1s, especially in f2p now, but only 40% more exp? I thought it would double.

We were originally planning to add eight new rewards with this update, as disclosed in the Behind the Scenes, but have decided that three of those items (the Eye of the Mage, Eye of the Ranger and Eye of the Warrior) were not as good as they needed to be, so have chosen to cut them from this update.

potions don't interrupt combat. if you're any good with F keys, you can unload that many specs while potting and they'll all be in a row.

you can drink pots and spec without interrupting your attack turn

 

And no, safe (not necessarily dangerous) pvp WOULD be broken if it really is 10% of spec bar. Even the best players will sometimes lose purely to Claw specs. Most of clan wars nowadays is just idiots running around with claws, 2 hitting 138's
