imageshack dont allow gifs anymore unless you're a registered member. Try tinypic.com for animated gifs, that's what I do.

Unlike other exp rewarding things you get, these reward books can be banked:

 

Start saving up for a few years, then have one day of tons of exp?

 

Edit: Btw, completed all 20 waves, got 55904 exp for a level 84 skill (which leveled me up to 85 (yay agility)).

It won't let you do another wave until you use your reward so no hoarding books in the bank.

 

Was actually a fun D&D. I didn't know the Poorly Cooked Karambwan Trolls could ruin the supply table so I lost my potion after wave 16. Luckily I had some sharks/full health and stats to hold me to the end.

So for a level 92 combat with 80 attack, 80 str, 60 defence, this is kinda pointless and a bit too hard to even bother trying i'm going to assume?

 

Also does anyone know when the "month" cutoff is? Does it literally go by the calendar months?

 

Also what needs to be brought in inventory ? Best armor i assume with potions and food?

You'll be fine. Just bring a few ppots, a couple brews (2), a restore and the rest sharks. Bring your best gear since you don't loose anything on death anyways.

I like that you can bank the reward book. Would be useful for 99/120 parties.

Takes a bit to get used to, but it was kinda fun. 2 things I'd change though: more clearly mark where the path begins, and make it so that the disease trolls don't wander aimlessly where you can't melee him without getting pummeled. Other than that I can't really complain much, it got me 73 rc so I ain't even mad.

You have to do easy mode first time, second time it'll offer the choice.

I'd say hard mode is giving at least a little bit more xp.

Judging by the xp scale from prior posts (eg 57k at 85) 49k at 79 does seem a bit higher than easy would give.

Based on tht equaition for lvl 70 herblore I woulda got 38.8k

Due to a mixture of lag, distractions irl, misclicks and a slight miscalculation on resource table (aka using all 5 doses thinking i was done with wave 6 when the 2nd batch of wave 6 was yet to spawn) I died on wave 7 with just cliff, some runts and poison dude left.

Spent way too much time on this(~20 mins, instead of just letting excel do all the work in the first place) but the xp formula is:

 

xp = 8* (level^2 - (2*level) + 100)

 

Alot like the effigy formula, but squared instead of cubed.

 

Generally, looks like a decent D&D- takes little time, monthly and decent xp.

i did hard mode today for this month, for the EXP i guess same as completing easy mode

 

it's just easy mode with fewer trolls but takes longer and hard mode only 7 waves with lotsa trolls (still not that hard) and its faster to complete.

By the way, there is something i didn't understand, the guard said the more you help us the more EXP you get, how i could help them ? we can only do it once a month.
