I absolutely love spicey food. But it musn't be so spicey that you can't taste the food itself anymore. I can stand the spicyness, but I'd like to taste all the hard work somebody has put in his/her dinner.

I like spicy foods a lot but especially when it has a good flavor. Some peppers can have taste and heat, where others just totally burn your mouth and you can't taste anything. A mixture of both is good. I put hot sauce on like anything that it goes good with too.

I dont mind a bit of spice and hotness but not too much. I hate it when something is too hot and spicy that it ruines the meal :(

Yea exactly... I like a little spice on everything... for instance a few drops of hot sauce on hamburgers is awesome.

I tend to like it. However, I don't really like cardamom, and am not that fond of corriander (seeds: leaves are fine). Other than that I tend to, as I say, like spicy food.

In terms of hotness, I don't mind hot things, and I do see some heat (enough to know it's there, at least) as an essential part to some things. Not being a masochist, however, I don't actively seek out foods which will hurt me -- I draw the line at eating things when I need to drink more than I eat because of this.

In China people eat VERY spicy food, and I'm Chinese, so I'm used to spicy food. I don't like it or dislike it, it doesn't really matter if the food is spicy, just as long as it doesn't ruin the food or anything. My dad however seems to love spicy food. Sometimes when we eat, he has so much garlic or other kinds of spicy stuff, that he starts sweating :/

a lot of hot sauces focus on the spicyness rather than flavor. Those sauces are disgusting, imo, and ruin food. I've been to a few restaurants that advertise some hot sauce which they use, and turn out to be bitter and spicy enough to knock out taste buds. seriously, if people enjoy that, then they should enjoy it on some healthy but nasty food instead of on a tasty, not as nutritous meal

some sauces, on the other hand, are great. theres one hot sause on the east coast, sriracha hot chili sauce, that adds flavor along with spicyness, yet has very little sodium (if u eat it by itself, its not salty). Most chinese grocery stores sell em here, and almost all chinese restaurants have bottles out on each table

I occasionally like hot, but not too hot...If there are like wings or whatnot I useually stick to mild, so I can enjoy the taste of the actual thing I'm eating instead of the heat.

On a side note, January 21 is International Hot and Spicy Food Day...No joke.

Ahh, Thai has possibly the SPICIEST food evah. I went to a Thai resturant and ordered the "Lava Chicken"....AHAHAHA, I don't suggest it. I was in tears. But it was actually good.

There is also a resturant about ten minutes from my house called Tijuana Flats. There are only like, eight or ten in the country, most of which are in Florida...there is one in Tennessee, Georgia, and Indiana (why Indiana?). Anyhow, I'm a Hoosier.

Cut to the chase...they have the world's HOTTEST hot sauce and the world's hottest food additive.

From the site:

Chet's Gone Mad - This sauce is the hottest product ever created. It is strictly a food additive and should not be used as a condiment. It is made from capsaicin (pepper extract...the stuff they use in pepper spray) and measures in at an unbelieveable 1.5 million Scoville Units. It is 700 times hotter than Tabasco pepper sauce!! Should be used only by people who are experienced at handling chilies. This very concentrated sauce comes in a special eye-dropper bottle, inside of a plastic medicine container.

Price for 1.8 oz: $35 AND you must sign a waiver and be 18+ years of age

------------

Before you talk spicy, try this stuff in your food. Here is the hottest condiment as taken from their site.

Smack My [wagon] The Slap Heard Around World - This is the hottest condiment on earth. Tijuana Flats mixed the best tasting ingredients with capsaicin (the ingredient used in police pepper spray) to make the hottest - greatest tasting sauce on earth. This sauce was designed for people who think they can handle any sauce. This sauce was featured on the national television shows The Today Show & Live With Regis & Kathy Lee. It has been featured in national magazines ranging from Food & Wine to Popular Mechanics. Also, use a coin to scratch off the hand print on his [wagon]!!

Indeed (adding to what others have said on this). I keep a bottle of habanero sauce but I've found it overpowers most foods.

My favorite pizza: Canadian bacon (back bacon), pineapple, and jalapenos. Sometimes I'll add some Tabasco, too :)

Aw, man, you have no idea. The food there is amazing. It's not really fast food, but it's not really a sit down resturant either. But their burritos and tacos are...oh my goodness...yummy. They have a hotsauce bar with like 20 different kinds, ranging from sweet sauce, to mild, to SLAP MY [wagon] AND CALL ME SALLY. Very cool. I still haven't gotten the courage to try the hottest though. That would be murder.

Ohh, here is a pic of the hotbar (from their website) and one of the murals at one of their locations. All of them have amazing paintings on the walls.
