I dont really think its wrong in my opinion, i think people need to be very careful however if they do Edate.

There's nothing wrong with it, but I think it's pointless.

 

Even though you can get on webcam with the person and can genuinely have feelings for each other, it's almost always doomed to fail because you're missing a key component: physical intimacy. Granted, it's a small part of a relationship (or at least in a healthy relationship it's a small part--if a relationship is based off making out and/or having sex, you don't really have a connection with the other person, it's just your hormones and lust that makes you attracted and that will fade leaving you with nothing), but it's still a necessary part.

I'd say e-dating is ok, if you know they're who they say they're irl, I mean people hook up online on sites like e-harmony, so I don't see it being a bad thing. I wouldn't recommend e-dating someone if you're not like 99% sure who they say they are, or if you don't ever plan on getting personal irl.

Hahaha, e-dating. I think it's completely silly and unnecessary, I don't see how you can possibly get any happiness out of a relationship where you never see the other person in real life. I guess if you're like 12 or something, mite b cool?

Other than that, my opinion on this is the same as my opinion for anything else: As long as it doesn't affect anyone else, go for it.

I only support it if it's a starting point for a "real" relationship. Like I don't have a problem with people meeting online and e-dating for a while until they are able to be together in real life. But if you intend for it to be an online relationship forever, I don't see the point.

I can see things like e-harmony working out or online dating services. But other than that it really isn't worthwhile. At the end of the day a real relationship will always work better. You get to know more about each other rather than just something online.

If other people want to try their luck with E-Dating, by all means, but I can't interact physically with a computer screen so I will not date or meet anyone online. I'll take my chances in the real world.

I am against it as you can never truly get to know somebody through a computer screen. A computer screen allows you to be whoever you want to be, it lets you spin a web of lies and pretend to be somebody you're not. Thus creating a shallow relationship, one which could barely function if you ever did meet. It would probably also be very awkward if you met in person. Everything a personal, "irl" (hate that word), intimate relationship is not.

Sounds pretty pointless to me, but making toy models out of toothpicks is also equally pointless to me; if it gets you through the night then who am I to judge what other people do in their spare time? So long as you're not hurting anyone I don't see a problem.

If people find love through it, who am I to judge? Wouldn't try it myself though. Actually I might do a trial one day just to find out who I'd be matched with and see if they're anything like my past relationships, for the lulz.

I didn't watch the original video posted but I presume it is RS Dating. I thought that died out nearly 6 years ago much like the rest of RS.

I thought it died with RWT since no one could get paid or make gifts for 'weddings'. Also the gold-digging aspect all but disappeared. But they brought RWT back in at the new year so it might have come back again, who knows?

 

Obviously there were those RS couples who were couples in real life but... those were few and far between I reckon.
