monster hunting question

so here's the thing, i'm planning on doing mtk as well as farming runs for some base money, then monster killing for some exp/more money:p

So my question is, I need a monster that's not too laborious to get to and that i can camp at for around 1.5 hours between my farming runs

i'll be using melee, all cb stats are 85, whip and bandos armor, dragon defender have guthans if needed, no BoBs :P

any suggestions?

Do you want to actually camp at a monster for an hour and a half without banking? Because if you don't mind banking you could try killing green dragons. They're decent money if you can deal with the bots.

99 HP, Attack, Strength, Defence, Summoning, Ranged, Herblore, Prayer, Agility, Magic, Slayer, Fletching, Fishing, Woodcutting, Mining, and Thieving.

Jagex'd out of my untrimmed hp cape on 6/14/2011.

preferably very little banking, plus i dislike killing any form of dragons :/

So... You need a monster with decent stackable or alchable drops that you can survive at for an hour and a half without banking, that's not totally painful to get to.

Just summing things up, lol. That's still pretty broad, though.

Dust Devils. That's a classic right there. I don't particularly recommend using Guthan's on them though...

EDIT: Actually, it would be good to know some of your qualifications that aren't told by your levels such as,

Do you have Bones to Peaches?

Do you have Enhanced Excalibur?

Do you have Slayer Rings unlocked?

Do you have the Slayer Helmet unlocked?

Also, by your guidelines, I'm assuming anything in the Chaos Tunnels is automatically crossed out?

In that case, I think I'm going to say Dust Devils: final answer. (From me, anyway!)

Even without Slayer Rings they're quite easy to reach if you have your house portal set to Poliniveach.

And I can't think of any way that Fire Giants would be better or actually easier to get to lol...

What?

DO NOT DO DUST DEVILS. They suck and their drop rates are pure cabbage.

Yeah, yeah - dchains are nice but seriously they're only a couple of mil.

IF you have some undying need to kill dust devils - do not do it in the polli dungeon. The spawn rate sucks and they're not close to each other.

You might as well just do it in the chaos tunnels (I don't think they're aggressive)

Umm they're actually pretty close to each other AFAIK. Theres one group right south of the entrance, and another bunch a little northeast of the entrance.

OP, if you have the quests, may I suggest armoured zombies. Might get crowded, but they drop stackable loot and and very good exp if you have salve(e) amulet.

So...... you don't have a better alternative?

I also have been trying to find a good monster like that. Aviansies are/were decent but you have to range(mage, lol) them.

There aren't many monsters left since you ruled them out. AZs, Bandits, LRCs, and Slayer are your only good options left.

Really? Cause as I recall it was you who was the one cussing me at base. Also, re-read what you just said: one 15 second delay (which is an exaggeration to begin with) ruins floor times? You are beyond ridiculous.

Waterfeinds.

Easy to get to, good stackable drops, campable.

Also LRC might be decent, but if you mine for cash you take a serious blow to exp/h.

PM me in game anytime

It's a lot easier then that for an idiot to sound smart on the internet.

That's exactly what you're doing right now... just saying.

So what you're saying is mining them would effectively waste exp?

Yes. It would be exp waste.

Low-loss/lossless mining isn't very difficult and considering it's like 500k gained in at most 5 mins lost per hour (from missing attacks) it's quite worth it.
