I decided to go look at it since for the longest while its been something of a source for leaked upcoming updates. While looking at the picture a good many of them were removed while replacing them with videos and other pictures. While looking at a picture of a player overlooking the troll camp in trollheim I noticed a small minimap icon located just next to the world map icon and I was curious as to what this might be. The icon has a bluish-grey background with the largest coin stack picture in the center of it. I know Jagex has been wanting to phase out some of the currencies and I was wondering if this was part of their plan. Also I was thinking about the item-kept-on-death location and that was a bit of an inconvenience so maybe it could be a quick look button? Anyways any speculations? They added that functionality to the toolbar ages ago, so it would only be a small step from there to add it in-game. Check out my blog to read the Adventures of a Big Damn (F2P) Hero. It wouldn't really change anything, it would actually make things more convenient to always have your money on you without wasting a precious inventory/bank spot. To tell you the truth, I wouldn't be shocked if they started selling cosmetic items though. I wouldn't have a problem with that in itself - but I wouldn't be a fan of having that on top of a subscription model; in my eyes only one's appropriate for a game. That said, inasmuch as it seems to appear within non-Wilderness boundaries, it's most likely a price checker icon. Honestly people -- calm the [bleep] down already. In light of that, I am going to go with some sort of wallet. If it gets all the various currencies out of my bank and inventory, that would be awesome. Also, Jmods have said on more than one occasion that there are no plans for micro transactions. Jagex has already shown some willingness, whether you choose to believe it or not, to pass up opportunities that could make them some extra cash at the expense of ruining their game. And I do of course mean that they could have easily made their own bots, or outright taxed people for using them, rather then spending boat loads of money fighting the problem. I have enough faith in the CEO to not do things that would totally compromise the game that I don't believe micro transactions are even a remote possibility. Not for a while at least. And in the end, what does it matter. No point getting worked up over nothing. If it does come to pass that we get micro transactions, I'll get worked up then.
