Are you positive that dual casting has an interval of 1.2, and not 1.8? I could have sworn it was 1.8 when I tested it.

  • Dear Jagex,   You guys said that you read this thread in that livestream.   Releasing EOC prematurely is the worst decision you could possibly make.   That is all.   Love, Meredith

  • I still don't like how levels only allow you to unlock abilities and equipment. Gaining a strength level should raise your max hit by a lot more than 1.

I'm still not happy that they've made skill levels so useless in terms of direct contribution to combat (attack/def rolls, max hit etc). As it is, I can actually get hit by level 2 rats pretty consist

It's 1.2, tested it on White Knights over the weekend.

In real life MMO you don't get 99 smithing by making endless bronze daggers.

Okay, cool.

So dual casting and staves deal 25% more DPS than Melee and Ranged do. I wonder if that's intentional.

Is there anything special to divine storm/storm of armadyl? Just looked and they're weaker than wave/surge spells respectively.

The action bar would be a good update even before the EoC. Something tells me though that the engine running it would introduce a lot of bugs if they don't do it completely with the rest of EoC. Mod Mark would know the answer better.

My question is can they introduce a two tier method to monster weakness. The monster is weak to either magic, range or melee in addition to being very strong against another leg. After that, it's a matter of being slightly more weaker (or stronger) against three sub-types in those legs. Seems better than just having 1 style out of 9 outshining everything.

Another question is with Lifepoints drastically raising with putting on armor, have they thought of adding monks to hang around the areas of the musicians or just allow resting at musicians to heal lifepoints (and maybe prayer?). This offers simple healing around the map and saves people doing a home teleport to Edgeville for free healing at the monastary there.

Just give a large passive healing over time effect when out of combat for 5+ minutes.

but we already have regenerate, which lets you burn off excess adrenaline into hp, or the ultimate that regains 40%

ofc the other type would be useful for just filling in the gaps when you say, change armors, or just need to top up before heading out

What, so they can tell me they "hope to see me again"? In a hospital?

pokecenter in the bank is the best solution

Pokeballs as level 80 thrown weapons please.

I think as part of the summoning update, all summoning familiars should be spawned from pokeballs.

Edit: How are people on f2p beta servers on a weekday? Don't they have to be members and have 12 months of consecutive membership?

They opened it up to free to play a bit ago if I remember correctly. Members are still restricted.

Could be completely and utterly wrong though.

EDIT: K then judging by below posts I went full derp.

I know they opened it to them, but I thought it was only on weekends like members.

This previous weekend wasn't f2p access, I couldn't get on my f2p account all weekend, the two weekends previous to that were f2p access though.

As for opening the beta fully to f2p I can't see it happening, not at least til it's open to all members (i.e. not weekends only like it currently is)

I'm surprised nobody mentioned that Members might like checking out how F2P Beta is like. Y'know... because Members can log into both worlds?

I started again on my backup/side project f2p account, a range/def pure. Surprisingly fun, eventually if they do re-open beta to f2p I'll try raise stats more and attempt pking as ranged tank. Talking of my f2p account, I really need to raise it's ranged + def level from 40 to 50 for rune/blue d'hide when EoC goes live lol

A question: tomorrow I'll be a member for 12 consecutive months. Will I be given full beta access?

Does your account only get access to unlimited access forum topics if you have unlimited beta access? because if so, my account's membership has just hit 12 months consecutive mark :D

Yeah. Can you view the unlimited beta access forum?

I can view and post in the unlimited access areas of forums, but it states on my forum profile that my membership started dec. 2011, how odd :/

In case anyone's interested, base spell damage of all offensive spells on the normal spell book and on the ancient spell book:

Wind Strike: 50 (level 1)

Water Strike: 64 (level 5)

Earth Strike: 78 (level 9)

Fire Strike: 112 (level 13)

Wind Bolt: 146 (level 17)

Water Bolt: 198 (level 23)

Earth Bolt: 248 (level 29)

Fire Bolt: 300 (level 35)

Wind Blast: 352 (level 41)

Water Blast: 404 (level 47)

Earth Blast: 454 (level 53)

Fire Blast: 506 (level 59)

Wind Wave: 532 (level 62)

Water Wave: 558 (level 65)

Earth Wave: 600 (level 70)

Fire Wave: 642 (level 75)

Wind Surge: 684 (level 81)

Water Surge: 684 (level 85)

Earth Surge: 684 (level 90)

Fire Surge: 684 (level 95)

Slayer Dart: 428 (level 50)

Divine Storm: 520 (level 60)

Storm of Armadyl: 642 (level 77)

Polypore Strike: 684 (level 80)

Ancient Magicks:

Gale Rush: 428 (level 50)

Rock Rush: 444 (level 52)

Bloodfire Rush: 480 (level 56)

Ice Rush: 496 (level 58)

Gale Burst: 532 (level 62)

Rock Burst: 548 (level 64)

Bloodfire Burst: 584 (level 68)

Ice Burst: 600 (level 70)

Gale Blitz: 632 (level 74)

Rock Blitz: 650 (level 76)

Bloodfire Blitz: 684 (level 80)

Ice Blitz: 684 (level 82)

Gale Barrage: 684 (level 86)

Rock Barrage: 684 (level 88)

Bloodfire Barrage: 684 (level 92)

Ice Barrage: 684 (level 94)

It's kind of sad that SoA has been nerfed so heavily, especially given the requirements to unlock it. I understand that with the arma staff the damage goes up, but who is going to pk with a 10m staff? Not me... Hopefully they add back in some sort of passive effect like it has right now, or have the base damage scale based on magic level or something.
