Now it just drains energy which is good for pking, but this item is so expensive not many people pk with it. every time i go pking i see atleast 10 abby whips around me and ppl pk with it all the time. this is a dumb thread because jagex wont do any thing.

February 3, 200620 yr whip is already overpowered its to fast and hits better than any otehr weapon including range and magic, in comparison. dharock might hit 31 but whip can hit 28 twice insame time etc.. i say make the dragon dagger only 2 specs and keep the whip the same and dont bring back the range spec. as of the moment almost all people use whip and lowering there energy twce with 2 specs is good it stops them running from ya, plus dragon dagger hits to high and up to 8 times. then there is the range spec witch was to good in multi ahving 10 rangers all come spec you, no one got a chance would ake the wildy all ranger again, ruins magic completly (yes i am magic lover ) :P It is my main melee weapon, My max hit with one potted and prayer is 33 due to my other equipment... They changed the special right after I got mine and i remember I want one because I was whipped so many times in cw - back then few took it in the wild. Anyway I think it's fine the way it is now. The whip is still the preferred weapon of the game among most melee'rs. I here people complain about controlled str and the special all the time ... but the game needs balance. To those who posted a whip being as quick as a scimmy - no it's faster and compared to a dds or ddp - as only those too weapons can compete against it given same lvl, same stat people ... the whip will win 4 out of 5 due to the str bonus. As for magic - I think it is over-powered with ancient... especially when it so easy to train - nats and bows = xp, you don't even have to pay your dues in combat to learn a dang quasi-combat skill People who melee and range take at least some risk to gain high hits.
February 3, 200620 yr I agree magic exp = money and pressing a button. Melee exp = working hard. With so many trees in the city you could see the spring coming each day until a night of warm wind would bring it suddenly in one morning. Sometimes the heavy cold rains would beat it back so that it would seem that it would never come and that you were losing a season out of your life. But you knew that there would always be the spring as you knew the river would flow again after it was frozen. When the cold rains kept on and killed the spring, it was as though a young person had died for no reason. In those days though the spring always came finally but it was frightening that it had nearly failed.
February 3, 200620 yr SINGED! i never had a chance to test the old whip special but it sounds amazing compared to the crappy one now, and also jagex are messing up all sorts of specials but i guess the game just keeps adating like now the maul spec sucks no one pks wit them anymore.

The "old" special of the whip and maul were EXACTLY the same special, just it had the bug to hit either max or zero ON HUMANS ONLY!!! AND ONLY DURING PKING AND DUELING! I have used this in pking, cw and dueling the three weapons do not have the same speed. Dagger is quicker and no matter how many times i've timed it still seems the whip is slightly faster than the scimmy. What Jagex post as fast vs what really is... are two different things I still think claws faster than dagger too. PS: and yes I owned a whip when the old special was there.
February 3, 200620 yr i will sign now that the whips are downgraded most of the noobs that have them dont even know bc they are just now able to afford. whenever i say something about it the dam noobs tell me jealous bc i cant afford one rofl thats when i bankd and showd them that not everyone walks around with their armor and rares on hahaha
