Pre-ordered my copy today along with a season pass for all the DLC :P I'm really surprised there isn't a thread on this already though. I'm really looking forwards to the zombies, though.

People don't really need or want to read through 74 pages of stuff unrelated to the game they're actually looking to discuss.

 

I haven't preordered this or anything, but I will probably end up making the decision to purchase it around Christmas based on reviews and whether or not my friends will still be playing it. I haven't actually looked at any CoD games since MW2 so I'll be interested in seeing how its evolved.

 

Funnily enough I've been finding myself nostalgic for an actual futuristic multiplayer FPS. I don't think I've played a well-balanced one since BF2142, so that will be nice.

Pre-ordered it, and will be able to pre-load it tonight. I loved Black Ops, so I can only imagine this one will be even more amazing. Even if it doesn't beat BO1 in quality, I'm fairly certain it'll at least beat MW3. :P

I have it preordered, to get the bonus zombies and nuketown map. Pretty excited :)

Preordered a couple weeks ago, might go to the midnight sale thing. But I'm really looking forward to it.

Unfortunately I don't really want to spend $60 on the game plus money for Live, and I don't really have time to get into CoD lately anyways. I'd probably enjoy it though.

You can always rent it for a day to play through the campaign.

It only cost me $45 to preorder off amazon, plus all the perks you get.

I really like how the game is made. I've only played it for a little bit so far but I'm enjoying it.

Same. I've mostly done combat training to get used to it, but it's really not much to get used to. Has a very natural feel to it and the maps are very easy to navigate.

It's very well optimised on PC. Much better than Black Ops 1 was. I can run it on 125fps, while still using the highest settings.

As for the game itself, Treyarch did a really good job with it. The single player is a lot more fun than in previous Call of Duty's, with the ability to customize your loadout before each mission for example. Multiplayer is amazing as well, really loving it so far.

Shooting through people here, just like Black Ops 1. This is the last cod I buy.

Seems to me that having a silencer on an smg dramatically increases it's damage in core modes. A guy literally came around a corner and killed three of us in one second with a silenced... not sure what gun it was, other than it was an smg.

The game isnt great, not really worth the money. Havent played SP, though. In MP it is way too much like MW3, explosions going off every second, all you can hear on audio is explosions, spawns suck, maps arent great. One of the great things about BO was the simplicity of the killstreaks, in BO2 it seems like there are some sort of KS shooting you every second. It seems too fast paced too, you die or kill someone 2 seconds after spawning. Dont really like it, though havent played much buth when i played BO right from the start i enjoyed it, but BO2 doesnt seem to have the right feeling

 

Zombies isnt great, all the survival maps are awful, grief is rubbish and tranzit is a nice idea but you can only play tranzit as its the only fun one. They shouldnt have made the surivival maps part of tranzit as they are way too small and plain boring. Also the randoms on zombies are pathetic, they always kill the crawlers despite its obvious they shouldnt, dont get on the bus and die so easily. Seem to be way more noobs

The game itself is really great, but the people that play it make it frustrating. It seems like 75% of my deaths (not a statistic, just a lot) are to guys headglitching watching some door. In domination too, even when they're losing. Not to mention I'm always getting dropshotted which makes the already bad hit detection worse. If they fix the lag/hit detection issues (which are severe for me, it's currently unplayable), I could deal with the camping and I'd be happy. All I can say is the cod community sucks.

Yes. Questioning it like that doesn't make my point any less valid. No one wants to play against a team of headglitching campers. But that's not all, the cod community sucks because its average age appears to be 11, and so you run into a lot of little kids using language that they shouldn't be because of a video game.

Yes it does, you're essentially getting mad at the community because they play in a way that gets you killed, as if there's some sort of "proper" way to get kills in Call of Duty.

I've never played CoD, but if the glitching is what would be defined as 'game-breaking' or 'unplayable', then it does have a negative impact on the community because people are using completely unfair tactics to 1-up each other.

First CoD I've ever purchased, usually just found my way around getting to the multiplayer.

 

Game is extremely fun and extremely unbearable at the same time.

 

Knowing Treyarch they'll attempt to fix the lag compensation, I'm begging to go back to just 1 host and 1 only at this point.

Headglitching is just a term used for people that hide behind obstacles where only the head is visible.

 

Since the last patch I haven't had any lag at all, and it seem's now I'm getting a 2 - 3 K/D every game. I usually don't care about K/D, but this just goes to show.. Played 8 games since the patch and my K/D went from 0.8 to 1.02 since I don't have any lag anymore.

 

Also, I suggest forwarding the port 3074, it's the port the game uses.
