Ambler
I'm hoping that a nerf would just makes it hit twice rather than 3 times, and deal slightly less damage/hit. ^^My blog of EoC PvM, lols and Therapy.^^My livestream- Currently: Offline :(Offical Harpy Therapist of the Mad[hide=Lewtations]Barrows drops: Dharok's helm x2, Guthan's helm, Ahrim's top, Hood and skirt, Torag's hammers, Karils skirt, Karil's top, Torag's helm, Verac's skirt, Verac's Flail, Dharok's Platebody.Dag kings drops: Lost count! :wall:4k+ Glacors, 7 Ragefires, 4 Steadfasts, 4 Glaivens, 400+ shards![/hide]
Blutters
Or maybe just a Staff to match the Wand?KK drops 3 different melee weapons, it wouldn't be a bad idea for Vorago to drop multiple magic weapons too.Melee has slash, stab, and crush.Magic has air, water, earth, fire. And range has arrow, bolt, and thrown Always tried to say Magic should be changed to have three styles as well, and that the 4 elements should be another weakness category altogether or each have effects, available to all three combat styles. Urza285
I really hope virtus wand and siesmics take a hit. I am real sick of seeing such high prices for them. Hopefully when the nerf hits and the prices drop I can nab a virtus wand for 100m or so. So many teams decline you for not having virtus wand or better. Wouldn't that cause virtus wand to drop out of the list of acceptable weps for bossing? Then you would need to have seismics to be accepted if you wanted to mage. As the size of an explosion increases, the number of social situations it is incapabale of solving approaches zero. Ensure you are not a social situation. With that said no I don't expect that virtus wand would drop out from acceptable bossing weapons. People will still need their mage tanks in vorago and such. Urza285
I don't know if this was posted yet, but here is some more info on what *might* be coming our way from Mod Hunter. Looking back this was posted on the 17th of january so... 17-Jan-2014 11:47:36I've been a bit quiet this week, but wanted to let you know what direction we're currently looking at. Everything listed may change, and there's more all around like specific items and such. I feel the Bash and Revenge abilities can be tweaked to aid DPS quite significantly. I found the pure basic adrenaline generation rotations to be lacking.Bash - Lose the stun (as it's the same effect as backhand), change to 100% weapon damage+shield armour value (roughly equivalent to havoc)Revenge - Increment stack on a miss, or increase stack per hit to 20%. In experimenting adding stacks on 0 resulted in a 60% buff 1 on 1 by the time of expiry with an NPC as opposed to 20% average before. As wider changes, we'd look to change damage reduction so you have a potential 30% pool, which reduces damage from all but typeless. Defence level, tank gear and a shield each unlocking a seperate 10%. The tank reduction would be based on equipment tier and averaged out through each slot: head/body/legs/gloves/boots. 5 pieces of level 90 equipment would mean 9% reduction, with lower (or no) tiers reducing it. The shield would work in the same way, purely using its own values - spirit shields would be excluded from this bonus but would retain their current effects. With items like defenders I'd think to make them shields with an innate damage reflection. A dragon defender for example could get level 50 armour stats (so dragon shields still have a place) with the damage reflection to make up for it. I quite like the idea of a passive tank ability (shield required) with an effect such as buffing other users damage against a target focused on the tank as a reason to remain a constant tank, though that's just in my head currently. :PSo tank gear might get a passive damage reduction. You would see ports gear giving 8.5%, chaotic shields 8% and 99 defense 9.9% for a total of 26.4% damage reduction. With the ROTS shields thats 26.5%. That's not enough to make t90 shields more worthwhile over spirit shields even if they excluded them I think. They might need to give a passive to t90 shields maybe? Virtus Wand might be excluded if Conc Blast is nerfed. It's one of the few things Mage has going for it, now with the Range Buff. Currently Range has a super great bleed attack (while the one for Mage sucks, Frag Shot vs. Combut), and Range actually has 3 super useful threshold abilities (Rapid Fire, Bombardment, Snapshot), while Mage has 2 (Wild Magik, Asphyxiate). In fact, at places like KK, Range might already be better (and it's also better, probably, at say, Arma, though that's not really a high level thing anymore). If Conc blast is nerfed, teams might simply demand that Ascensions/Seismics or no entry.

So they should be worth it over spirit shield for bosses with multiple attacks. especially with them looking at buffing shield abilities. As far as I know, the spirit shields currently reduce any incoming damage but typeless, the style they have only defines which one to use according to your combat style so your accuracy doesn't suffer

Urza285
Any idea when revolution, momentum+ and queueing is coming into the live game? The polls have another 5 days or so and they are all at 50-52% saying they are all ready. Sy_Accursed
Unfortunately we are not psychic. One would assume after the polls are done they will take a few days to a week to evaluate the responses given how close the results are and the fact there is some overlap between them.If they do decide to simply go with biggest numeric wins I'd say after that they could be in live within a week or 2 so I'd place my bets on last week of feb or early march. Wkw
I really hope they are going for the "best of both worlds" type of thing. For example... Add the old fixed screen back as an interface... Everything worked there. For them to outright remove it was an insult to those who liked it. I prefered it for questing. It had a "feel"... A feel that the new interfaces lack fully. Ditch the "rework combat to legacy". It is silly, pointless, and will make things more confusing going forward. Keep (or put in) momentum+, revolution, all those fancy combat tweaks and say "this is pretty darn close to old combat. Now learn weapon tiers": 1 Runescape player since 2005 Ego Sum Deus Quo Malum Caligo et Barathum

Keep (or put in) momentum+, revolution, all those fancy combat tweaks and say "this is pretty darn close to old combat. Now learn weapon tiers":Pretty much sums up my opinion. Only I also feel like they should rebalance stats to make a bigger difference. Honestly it's pointless to level up skills intentionally past the tier weapon you want to use... So honestly getting level 90 in cb stats is good enough for most bosses just because you have access to drygores if you're rich. Ammako
Only I also feel like they should rebalance stats to make a bigger difference. I think that the way it worked in pre-EoC was fine. Not sure why they couldn't just have kept the same stats systems from pre-EoC, but just adding abilities, TBH. Modify the stats of equipment so that everything is equivalent across classes (e.g. Rune platebody would give +80 ranged def and -6 Magic def, give Blue d'hide body +80 mage def and -6 melee def, Batwing top +80 melee def and -6 Ranged def, remove accuracy bonuses on ranged and magic gear and straight out give staves/bows(crossbow) the full accuracy bonuses like Melee weapons have, etc.)
strilmus
what if they just divided it between the stat and the gear like hp?
Ammako
They did that with Attack/Magic/Ranged and Defence. The problem is that they went and make those stats matter more for your accuracy and your armour, yet Strength/Magic/Ranged *still* don't contribute to your damage ._. Sadly this won't happen, seeing how as soon as they put the poll up people are expecting it to happen, so not bringing Legacy back would cause even more rage.
