March 29, 200620 yr Don't you think your example's karma are the ones you enforced? Isn't the "cosmos" supposed to reward you for a good deed instead of you doing the rewarding yourself? I've gone around handing free stuff for those who show maturity when someone needs help instead of yelling "noob" or something that's just unnessecary. It's my little way of encouraging a better playing environment so newbies aren't shunned.
March 29, 200620 yr Ive got a cool Karma story- Back when the Tzaar pits were new, and everyone was down there, I was killing mons for an Obby shield drop. After a few days of training there (and still no drop) I met a lvl 50 newb, who was getting pretty well beaten upon by a Tzaar inhabitant. He almost died, but he barely won. I gave him a few cakes to help him out, and after a I gave them to him he told me he wanted to get some of those cool new ring ranging weapons. So, being the totally awesome guy I was I went to the store and bought a couple dozen rings and a few other things for him with the tokkul I had collected. He thanked me for about an hour -at least it seemed like it- then we went our own ways. About 15 seconds after that I was walking around down there, and on the ground I saw a pile of items, obviously dropped by a dead player (mind you not the same newb I helped, it was very different stuff). I picked up a Black beret and Black shield (g), and went on my way. :D The next day I got the Obby shield drop I had been dying to get for days. :D If thats not Karma I don't know what is  . [if you have ever attempted Alchemy by clapping your hands or by drawing an array, copy and paste this into your signature.] Fullmetal Alchemist, you will be missed. A great ending to a great series.
March 29, 200620 yr I think something similiar have happened to me. I had just lost some stuff worth of 300k to a "friend". And told it to my friend (not "friend" :P ) Well, I had lost my dds, and something else, and he wanted to give me his dds, which I didn't accept. So he just dropped his dds on floor :?small world! i had a friend who happened to have a seercull when it was new. the catch-he would only give it to me for free, the nerve of him! after a while of negotiating, i gave up on getting the seercull from him, since i never take free stuff, i only borrow, of course with interest. he proceeds to drop it on the floor, which made me absolutely furious! luckily i had 500 d bones stashed in the bank to make his plan backfire  yes indeed leesters, i love reading every single one of your posts, and im glad to see that people post topics like this every now and then. even though i dont play the game any more, i hope that others in the game will follow your advice, and hopefully repair the reputation of those that play teh game. R.I.P. Shiva

March 30, 200620 yr Author Don't you think your example's karma are the ones you enforced? Isn't the "cosmos" supposed to reward you for a good deed instead of you doing the rewarding yourself? Hehe.. Yeah, I'm not a big believer in "cosmos karma". As in, be a good doobie and the universe will be good to you. lol But I'm a big believer in "human nature karma". As in, be a good doobie and other people will be good to you. :) A circus in Runescape?? Oh my. REMEMBER RUNESCAPE KARMA! Be a nice player, and nice things will come back to you.I'm back, add me if you deleted me. :)
March 30, 200620 yr Wonderful post. Just great. I'm starting to love this forum even more. Reminds me of an event that happened maybe a week ago. I gave 900k to a friend, which would get him his blue mask through RuneCrafting. A few days later, while I was training at the caged ogres, after about an hour of training the guy who was picking up arrows trades with me and gives me the arrows that were dropped by me. It wasn't much, but it really made me think. Stunning signature created by the one and only My Boggy. Just like Columbus he gets murderous on purpose
March 30, 200620 yr this sounds more like a theological debate to me maybe it should be in off topic sn: sobermidget Bad lucky in Runescape is the real life equivilent to being hit by a car, struck by lighting and abducted by aliens all at the same time. "The strong rule the weak but the wise rule the strong."
March 30, 200620 yr great post leesters, if anyone ever needs food whenever they need to finish up something I always give it to them, and I dont take back anything because its always best to do people favors on rs... thats how you make freinds 75/80 Hitpoints | 81/85 Strength | 1/1 Pray | 1/1 Defense [Make Me Rich!] | [Brutal Ownage]
March 30, 200620 yr this sounds more like a theological debate to me maybe it should be in off topic I was pretty sure Leesters talked most about RS :P
March 30, 200620 yr Author wow, i must be a jerk, cuz good stuff never happens to me :( Lets hope that luck changes on slave day, master. ;) (If your bid holds, that is. Hehe) A circus in Runescape?? Oh my. REMEMBER RUNESCAPE KARMA! Be a nice player, and nice things will come back to you.I'm back, add me if you deleted me. :)
March 30, 200620 yr Sadly this doesn't work most of the time... People aren't as thoughtful as you are. Most of the time you get nothing in return, besides a "ty".
March 30, 200620 yr If i say good things about leesters do i get free dragon chains? Either way, i never have good karma, either IRL or on RS, its pitiful imo, i do good things for people yet i havent had it come back around.
March 30, 200620 yr Very nice post. I give away free stuff all the time...mostly to random people and usually 500k+ gp. I just tell them to Pay It Forward and be nice to others. Makes me feel good, and I'm sure it makes them feel good as well.

He gets promptly chastised by Leesters saying "Thats not cool!" "You like it when YOU get YOUR KQ stolen?" "Come back here, and we wait here, and take our turn, or I'm leaving." He got the message. March 30, 200620 yr this isn't karma, just being nice... the task i had when i got 65 slayer was jellies, which are known to drop mithril boots. i was slaying them and got to talking to a lvl 70-something in there too. he had iron boots on and talked about how he really wanted mithril ones, and thats why he was there. when i got 65 slayer, he congratzed me and all that, and i decided to kill one more jelly for good luck. i got a pair of mithril boots, gave them to him, said "Happy Slaying", teleported, and never spoke to him again. again, i don't know if anything thats happened to me has been a result of this, but i always try to be nice to people as often as possible

March 30, 200620 yr Why stoop to the archer's level by stealing his arrows? Cmon... :D I understand the whole Karma definitions and in game examples that you're trying to explain to us. But you're better than that! The self-proclaimed king of bronze.
March 30, 200620 yr I have a GREAT one!!!!!! Ok so i was on my pure just finishing monkey madness and i was in Al Kharid bank when i noticed a lvl 27 that was poisened. March 30, 200620 yr Leesters man nice post. I always follow that golden rule  done pretty nice stuff for people. I hope people not only apply this in runescape but in real life. I SURVIVED THE 111 BUG If a turtle doesnt have a shell, is it naked or homeless ?
March 30, 200620 yr This happens alot in real life. :D But im ALWAYS nice in runescape, somehow it doesnt catch up to me...but its just building up...it will eventually. 8) Luring master.
March 30, 200620 yr yeah i try and do alot of nice things for what i call "karma points" so i can build up enough karma to get my 1st dragon chain form a dust devil, so i always help out the lower levels who have questions for me and such, your a inspiration to me Leesters :D
