Does anyone remember these times?

 

 

 

First level 99 woodcutter - Everdred (he had the first level 99 skill)

 

 

 

First level 99 mage - Bluerose13x

 

 

 

(She passed Zaptone Z who held the position as top mage for a very long time. Zaptone Z was the guy famous for stealing kills with the "Fear" spell. He was later banned, but not for stealing kills.)

 

 

 

First level 99 smith - Bluerose13x

 

 

 

(I remember with the old smithing tables, she was the first to be able to make steel kites. Of course, she got lots of stress from others, and she posted a topic like "steel kites - back off or off!" Of course, someone had to make a parody thread "bronze daggers - back off or off!" This was when the forums had no censor, lol. Also, Gormis was the second player to reach level 99 smithing and magic. Some people considered him "the second Bluerose". Sadly, he was laterl banned.)

First level 99 fisher - Tks

 

 

 

(For the record, Big10fan (once a forum mod at tip.it) was the top fisher, but he quit shortly after.)

(The player Speedis had a pure archer named Archer Speed, and he held the #1 spot for a very long time with 75 ranged.)

 

 

 

First level 99 thief - Swedemike? I can't remember much.

 

 

 

Firdt person to be able to craft diamond amulets - Mysticsmagic

 

 

 

First person to mine adamantite - S H A R K (was often confused with Paul Gower's playing character, Shark)

 

 

 

First person to mine rune - likely Ezarc (there was conflicts on whether Ezarc of Kibble was the first)

 

 

 

First person to get all 99s - Zezima

 

 

 

(I remember that L6vi had both the highest skill total and the highest total exp for a while, but he quit shortly after. :()

 

 

 

First person to mine and smith iron, steel, and mithril - Dmonik

 

 

 

Inventor of drop parties - Dumb Woob (his events were called "Running of the Newbies")

 

 

 

Inventor of "freak trains" - possibly Oergg

Many do not understand why the last almost any of them where famious.

 

Tks was the 3rd or so person to be the highest in skills and kept it for some time, even after she quit she had the top for months.

 

l6vi was a very nice person on the forums and I believe he still played the ArenaScape long after quiting Runescape

 

Thunder, the second player, was one of the unofficial player mods

 

I don't know those are the 5 main oldies I remember / classics.

 

I believe you are right LKJ was first to 99 hp, any ways there where 2 people to hit level 100+ at the same time, I do not remember the second person but LKJ was one of the two, what happened is the max level at one point was 99 then they up graded it so that it was 123 and they both jumped over level 100.

 

Going for 123; I remember Zong, and SAX where the two going for it first, then Gear beat them.

woah ive only been playing 7 months (look me up on high scores its nutty :D ) but looking at this i got a lot of catching up to do...

 

what about merlin? wasnt he some uber mage back in the day? i dont know personally but my friends who got me into rs have been playing since the good ol rsc days and they told me there was some guy called merlin (dont know the spelling as this was found out by word of mouth) who was apparently the best mage in the game. anyone know who im talking about?

I've seen some random 126's, there actually not extremely rare anymore.

And to think that not too long ago you could count all the 126's on one hand :? Yeah there's a ton of them now

Ah so many old names! I actually traded with Snake Slava in Edgeville bank the other day! I wanted to buy a lot of prayer pots cheap (for merchanting purposes ;) ) but he wanted 7k each for them dam him! :lol:

 

 

 

TKS was a LEGEND! I looked up to her as I was growing up in Runescape, and to Vampiriss who took her spot as number 1 fisher for a while.

Does Ladykilljoy still play? I remember when I started that she was famous or something. I played Runescape ever since the beggining, from 2000. Yet, I am still combat 85. Something is wrong with that. But yea, I remember these people. But do any of them still play?

Yea, but I've also been tracking Zezima's progress. I think he knows the competition surging from the rear, and he's been uping his experience. Who knows, for once maybe there'll actually be a tough competition for the #1 spot. :)
