Lim_Dul
1. Neogeo answered the first question for me. for some people, its a matter of pride. some remain f2p because they see getting 99s in those skills through f2p as a much harder and more honerable goal. it is true that its much harder to get good levels in f2p, so i can see where they are coming from there. Additionally, I've really come a long way in F2p rankings, and I feel it would be a shame to just give that up now. If T V B reads this, I plan to pass you very soon :D 2. Most definitely I've wanted to be a member for a number of reasons including, The dueling arena, fletching, crafting dragon hide, halberds, barrows armor, the dwarf cannon and many more. P2p really is very enticing. 3. I plan to become a member after I reach 1491 total level in f2p.
Krazyck
1. well, ive come a pretty long way considering ive never beena member, almost every skill is harder to train if f2p, and im still higher than a lot of people in this game,... i just feel that it would be a waste to switch to members, that and i also dont feel like paying $10-$15 a month for an online java game.. there are plenty of better p2p games out there. 2. sort of, i think it would be cool to have all those member things, but then again, the game would change drastically and i would be a newb again. as well, the whole, paying for this game, something i promised myself i would never do. yeah... lol 3 i forgot the question, so im gonna assume you asked me what my favorite colour is. the answer is triangle. 1543 Skill total, 100% F2P
Arcley
1. What made you remain f2p? - No possible payment methods at the moment, and I don't play enough to make it worth paying for (the cost isn't big, but I usually get bored almost instantly after I log in... But sometimes I get more motivation and return for longer periods) 2. Have you ever wanted to be member? - Yes. 3. Do you plan to be a member in the future? - I've considered it, but if I would get a credit card, I'd most likely start playing something bigger instead. marko0
1. No convenient way to pay, parents don't want to pay, and F2p isn't so bad. 2. Yes 3. yes if possible
chickenman
1. What made you remain f2p? I was a member before, but ran out of member credit. 2. Have you ever wanted to be member? Yes, I have been one. 3. Do you plan to be a member in the future? Yes, I will probably resign-up in a week or so.
jwrm22
1. What made you remain f2p? i just want to be "higher ranked", becuz a lvl 89 is nothing at p2p not without multiple party hats... now ive high f2p skills, and they are easy to train on p2p, so when i get p2p i would be a nub with my states... 2. Have you ever wanted to be member? yes, i saved about 100k willows, but when i lost my green mask... i didnt want to becom member anymore... i sold te logs and bought some goodies... 3. Do you plan to be a member in the future? no, i just want to stay f2p... now im working on 85 mining... and after that i would like to get 99 prayer f2p some day... (its "only" 30000 rune ores :P ive mutch fun at f2p... and i dont like that i wasted to mutch time and money on my skills if i get p2p one day... i like how my acc is... and i have a goal for about 2500 hours :P (85 mining, 70 rc, 30000 rune ore, 99 prayer, and after that i want 99 atk, str and def) ~jwrm22~ ^^ click my sig for my lesser ranging guide ^^jwrm22: 4816th > 99 cooking 100% f2p !1172 total! + 140mil in items.i dont play anymore... i think rs is ruined
Goobore
1. What made you remain f2p? Because PKing is forced on me. I don't have a choice. Paying for it is no problem, but if I became a member then, IMHO, I would be "rewarding" Jagex for a poor game design decision. Instead, I like how the duel arena and castle wars allow the player to choose to fight other players. There are P2P servers and F2P servers. Jagex could implement some special PK servers with increased PK areas to satisfy the dedicated PKer players. 2. Have you ever wanted to be member? Yes, for the 6 additional skills, better training, new quests, and new lands. P2P has a much richer game. 3. Do you plan to be a member in the future? No. I pay $15 per month to play another on-line game that doesn't force PKing on you. I would rather pay 3 times as much as P2P does to play another game "my way". I "vote" with my wallet. I'd like to hear from high level f2p players, like Mendark 9. :) I'm in the top 200 for F2P skill total. I have 10 skills that are level 80+
Kewl_Sabre
1. What made you remain f2p? I"m keeping f2p only until I raise my stats a good bit. That, and I don't really feel like paying money. 2. Have you ever wanted to be member? No, not really. 3. Do you plan to be a member in the future? Eventually maybe, but it won't be for a few years. jak722
The thing however is that many people saying that they 'own' members mostly have a total level around 950-1050. This isn't high, even for F2P. 1000 total was very good in RSC, but since then we have been given alot of extra's (runecrafting, more arrows, more trees) so it isn't that big of a deal anymore. Is a pure f2p lvl 108 combat with 1129 going for 110 with 1200 total good enough? voncritic
1. What made you remain f2p? 1) No convenient way to pay. 2) F2P is about the right size of world to fit my availability balance. Don't want to spend more time in exploring a bigger world and/or playing with tons of new factors. 2. Have you ever wanted to be member? No 3. Do you plan to be a member in the future? No I am back. soulfilter123
f2p gets a little boring after you do everything possible, and is time to move on. members is the best you could get out of the game. but f2p is good to train mining, and so on. limpxbizkid
im lv92, not really sure if you reguard that as high (i sure as hell dont), i been playing on and off for about 3-4years. 1. What made you remain f2p? lack of money (i have that annoying habbit where i keep going out a spending it), lack of time to make it worth my while. 2. Have you ever wanted to be member? yeah, i played quite a bit about a year or two ago so it wouldve been worth it then. 3. Do you plan to be a member in the future? not really, ive cut down on playing, the other day i started playing after about a 4-6months break/forgot runescape actully existed. i also think that the f2p version gives me enough playability without needing to shell out the extra cash (even though its only $5 a month, thats like $9 here which works out to almost 4 pots of beer)
AznElliot518
1. What made you remain f2p? The fact that I dont want members. 2. Have you ever wanted to be member? No. 3. Do you plan to be a member in the future? No, I am unwilling to pay $5/month for a game, particularly Runescape. Verie__Bad
1. What made you remain f2p? ive seen some great f2p players, i just wanted to be exactly like them 2. Have you ever wanted to be member? no, my brother was member and i played it twice or so and it wasnt that as good as i expected (it simply ist worth the money u pay for membership) 3. Do you plan to be a member in the future no, jagex does the wrong updates to convince me to become member
jak722
For Pete's sake, people, it's five dollars. O rly? What if you have no credit card? Or what if your country doesnt have good payment options? Or what if youre a minor and your parents happen to think is a waste of time and money? I dont even think its just 5 dollars... :? Unforgivablesin
For those of you who have remained a free player for all your life, I have a few questions: 1. What made you remain f2p? 2. Have you ever wanted to be member? 3. Do you plan to be a member in the future? I know that I'm not really qualified to answer this as I have acucmulated 6 months of members now, but before I was ever a member, I remained f2p because my parents would object to members. I'd like to hear from high level f2p players, like Mendark 9. :) 1. Even if I'm far from it I want to be one of the best f2p. Hate it when members generalize and even ones I can beat call me a noob because I'm not one but you have to give credit where its due and we were all once f2p. 2. Been one on another account, have several, this isnt even my main. 3. Possibly, friend all joined and their bugging me into it slowly but I want to see how far I can go as a f2p. Sorry that I'm not high leveled.

ForsakenMage
1. What made you remain F2P? I needed a challenge. I wanted to compete against other players with a "handicap." F2P was my answer. There was also a matter of money, which cannot be helped as I wish to put all my current savings into paying for university tuition and books (god they're getting more expensive). Plus I cannot trust myself to be P2P usefully and long term when my schedule is somewhat sporadic already. Don't want to get members for a month and end up only playing for half of it or something. 2. Have you ever wanted to be member? No. I need challenge to enjoy a game strangely enough. 3. Do you plan to be a member in the future? Nope. For anyone that says anything about it being only $5, that already covers half of my health services at the college I'm currently attending. $5 also means two packs of scantrons, two notebooks, or three admission fees for bus fare for me. You may have the money to spend leisurely, but others like me do not. Chantzzzzz
1. What made you remain f2p? 2. Have you ever wanted to be member? 3. Do you plan to be a member in the future? 1. There are a few reasons. The first being that I have bills to pay, schooling to pay for, and want to get car insurance soon. The second being is that I don't have the time to make it worthwhile. The last being that I would never in a million years be able to convince my parents. 2. Yes. I've wanted more quests for a long time 3. Meh. I may at some point, or maybe just join for the summer months, but I'd doubt it
Masuma
1. What made you remain f2p? I want to be one of the top 100 F2Pers. Also, I spend most of my time on RuneScape at the patch. Getting members would be a waste of money for me. It's also feels good to get compliments from people, since leveling skills is generally seen as harder to do on F2P than P2P. 2. Have you ever wanted to be member? Yes, when I was lower leveled and not in the OoC. 3. Do you plan to be a member in the future? No. -masuma Woah, I never knew Tip.It had that sig. I'll keep it since it's cool (and to make people wonder what was in my sig).

Ocelotbren
1. What made you remain F2P? At first it was because I played RuneScape enough as a nonmember, imagine how much I'd play if I were a member! That still holds true and I wouldn't become a member now because I've done so much on F2P already. I guess I don't want my accomplishments so far to be "diminished" because I became a member, as many people have been saying. 2. Have you ever wanted to be member? Not really, it just never interested me and there was always the fact that I didn't want to become too addicted to RuneScape by becoming a member where there's so much to do. 3. Do you plan to be a member in the future? No, I highly doubt I ever will. Bren
