Lode Posted April 29, 2006 Share Posted April 29, 2006 I've never really considered myself as such an old player, but I just checked when my recovery questions were last changed and it's the third of February 2002, and I changed them then because a friend knew my password. God, I am way more old school then I thought I was. I cannot remember my original characters name though, not for the life of me. I think I started this one about halfway through 2001. I started playing in march 2002, but it also sais my recovery question date last changed is februari 2002. Actually I only set my recovery questions in 2003. It's a bug. It's a bug.naw, i remember on like feb 23rd-27th there were resets, my char got banned on the 23rd of feb>_< recently got the char unbanned an recovered a few hats;) but meh i got 2 chars on the first 2k to join list- one is 400ish and other is around 1800 485th person to ever play RuneScapeBlue107- perm banned 10/12/2007. $300 USD reward if you can get me in contact with someone who will take 5 seconds to look at evidence and get my original character unbanned. I remember saving up 10 gp by 10gp for my first rune long, oh dear it was 20k-25k at the time, took me ages. Black armour at that time looked cool too, made you look like a black knight walking around :wink: I forgot mostly about RSC now, just the few most happy memories such as when I bought my first rune long. zerbs Posted May 3, 2006 Share Posted May 3, 2006 omg i loved classic back in january 2001 i got my first 1k coins from ranging goblins, and it got me to lvl 10 range (sad i still know this) bluerose13x was the best smithing \ miner in the game even before banks could store items, "angry nocc" i think that was his name... well he was the first to 99 str. zongui was the first to maxed combat. sandytrain was one of the best pkers in the game, "robin hood" was one of the first well know cheaters, he would have a catch program for pking. so if u saw him... u were dead... before wildy came out pking happened everywere, i bought my first phat for 5k on xmas when they dropped. and when i started there was only 2 servers, holding 1500 people i think it was... later they got 3 servers and everyone of them was full... ahh the good ol' days do you beLIEve in higher powers?now the proud owner of a fire cape as of ~~~~~~~~July 16, 2006~~~~~~~~~~SOMONE DROPPED MY FIRE CAPE~~ Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Anyways i got 4 blues, 3 reds, 1 white, 2 green, 2 yellow , and 2 black (which were turned to pink, then purple). Lol, then i sold them 3 weeks later for around 3-5k each..I WAS FRIGGIN' RICH!!! I have pics of them somewhere (my first file from 2001 was killermate...horrible stats).. too bad i only made 70k instead of 1.5 bil lol....live and learn faithful player since october 2001!!!!!!!!! bepo Posted May 3, 2006 Share Posted May 3, 2006 honestly i wish i could go back in time 5 years ago when rs was FUN. Not only has the content gone down, the comunity is so freaking huge it's absurd. Plus, level 99 isn't even hard to get anymore. lets be honest here, you can buy basicly any 99 stat and have it within a reasonable time. I play to be the best, but what good is it when there's 1000 other characters just like you. Maybe it's just me, but I like to be better than everyone else. Thats why I bought one of the first whips for 2 yellows and 6 mil. Because I liked the fact I was one of the few people with a whip... at level 90. Back then i enjoyed rs loads, i knew alot of the people ingame and there wasn't a day that i would be in fally south bank and i didn't see someone i knew. Rune drizzt - stolen and banned, stats when rs2 came out 88 combat 92 fishing 88 cooking everything else 50+ Plaguegod ds created april 2001 stolen and banned. A friend of mine showed me the game a few weeks beforehand, and I initially thought it looked quite goofy. Kinda forgot about it for a while, then went back to the website on 4/6 and saw the Asgarnia update news, thought "this is neat!" and joined. The rest is history. Wow, I remember so much about the past. Good magic and evil magic (before the huge mage/prayer update, I believe late April 2001?), where the highest spell was Fear, at I believe level 13. Fear was awesome. For those who don't know, Fear, when cast on a monster, made the monster vanish. No questions asked. I remember tailoring and thieving (yes, thieving...BK fortress quest gave exp for it back in the day) on the stat list. There's a lot more as well...Today I saw the picture of Everdred getting 99 woodcutting for the first time in about two years (this was June/July '01) which has me screaming my face off in it.
