In my school, a girl was widely known for playing Runescape. She didn't have the best character in Runescape, but in school she was hugely popular, the "it" girl. So Runescape didn't seem nerdy anymore. The majority of my friends know I play, but we don't really talk about.

Alot of my friends are addicted to it :P a few of them keep talking about it even when we're playing football :roll:

All my friends hate RuneScape (at least the ones that know what an MMORPG is do :P).

 

And no, it isn't because it has "bad graphics" like many of you are saying, it's because they think it's a bit :geek: :geek:

Exactly..... in my case its more serious the whole school cares about graphics

My whole school basically thinks runescape sux for various reasons: for example, the WoW noobs think RS has crappy graphics, and everyone else thinks the gameplay sux. (Point-and-click is :thumbdown: , according to them :roll: )

Anybody who doesn't like RuneScape isn't my friend.

None of my friends know, but it's not like I'm hiding a great secret from them. It's a game. Would I make fun of a kid for playing Gears of War, or Halo? No. RuneScape is just a game. If someone asked if I play, I'd tell them that I do.

The people that are aware that I play this game think it's utterly stupid. They usually ask what the hell I'm doing when I'm swinging my laps on the Ape Atoll agility course. It gets even more awkward when I tell them I need to do 17k more laps before I'm finally done.

None of my friends know I play RuneScape. If they did, my social status and my chances of being friends with them would go down the drain.

The only reason why I dont drop it and move on is that I have already come this far, why stop now. Anyway, I try to keep my gaming habits to myself...

Some of my friend gives up on runescape becoz they think it is getting boring and so on and so forth... But NOT me i still find it exciting and i know i can improve in alot of ways !!!! \ :thumbsup:

In about 200 students, only 3-5 play Runescape and I'm one of them.

 

 

 

Yea, tons of my friends say it sucks due to graphics, gameplay etc. I usually shrug it off aND most of my friends stop after an insult or two, but there are 1 or 2 guys that consistently insults Runescape and I find that very annoying. The funny thing is that most of the people that hate Runescape (Those who have never played it before) are usually people who play games in which they just log on, sit and get free exp while in Runescape, the work has to be done by yourself.

A lot of my frineds tell me to play WoW of Guild Wars or w/e, but im happy with RS. ITs been my entertainment at home for 3 years, i aint playing anything else.

Most of my friends hate it b/c they say its boring/bad graphics but most of them has an rs acc anyways.

 

 

 

One friend of mine is a retired rsc moderator, and a pro clan wars person. He quit because of the Dec 10th updates but might come back after the new pvp world updates :

 

 

 

And another one still plays and he's training very hard with me so we can do duo DKs :thumbsup:

I only have one rl mate who knows i play runescape. Everyone else isn't that interested in computers.

 

Same here. He used to play, then he quit, then he found out about clan wars, then he got bored of it, then he saw I got mems and got mems as well and now he plays again.
