Number one: You're a terrible interviewer. You're in no way objective and you're idolizing him like no other like he's someone special. Easily approachable? It's a random online conversation - don't blow that one quality out of proportion and make him seem like some online martyr. There are people who are banned that don't deserve it, but this guy isn't one. You don't need to write through his interview that he does - again, very unobjective interviewing. Don't even call it an interview. Call it a suckup to the bug abuser question-fest.

 

And everyone else said it, but what the heck is wrong with you thinking that everyone would have done the same thing? It's a guaranteed ban - that would just be ridiculously stupid to do that knowing you'd end up with nothing, and even if that's not enough, the fact that you're ruining so much for other players. He shouldn't be giving the nonsense excuse that he couldn't control himself because "he's a pker," like that's a personality type or something and there was nothing he coudl do about it as if animal instinct took control. I'm a little upset at Jagex for not testing this part of the game. Fixing-Barrows-for-free bug, or the butler no-pay bug, these are understandable. But they should have VIGOROUSLY tested all kicked-out-of-house possibilities before they released this evil upon the innocent victims that lost millions because of this.

 

 

 

They should make an exception to thier policy and return these ppl's items.

 

 

 

And I hope the dude gets hit by a truck.

 

 

 

I'm with Leesters on this one. Jagex really should make an exception to their policy and return these users items. It will probably be just like the instant death bug, Jagex will make up some excuse to not return the items. :roll:

How many years has been working on this..... And there still is this massive bug.. It seems like with every update there is ALWAYS a huge bug :roll: :oops:

 

With some things, no amount of bug testing can prevent bad bugs gettign through. I'm sure they heavily tested everything, but even in rs1, a few years after it was out, the big dupe was discovered. It's impossible to isolate every single bug. It took an estimated 500k members playing with construction 7 days on average about 3 hours a day for one person to find that bug - 10.5 million hours of playing time. Now that's an overshoot, but how do you expect jagex to put 10.5million hours into bugtesting? I'm sure they found a lot of bugs and fixed them, but not everything can be detected. It's unfortunate that things like this happen, but often is the case that nothign can realyl be done about these bugs. Rollbacks aren't possible anymore with the amount of people playing, so basically jagex either hires a bunch of people to sign a confidentiality contract and beta test updates or keeps it as it is now. There are flaws, bad things happen, but it's kidn of inevitable unfortunately.

 

 

 

(and to the above post, what you said leesters about returning items, that's not exactly possible unless they have soem technology we dont' know about, since anyone can claim to have lost anything, people could have even dropped a party hat, had a friend pick it up, and if the option for jagex to compare old banks with new ones came up, people who prepared well enough knowing it was a possibility could profit off of it. Not that that's a real issue, but the main idea is that it just isn't feasible to return everything)

ok lets end this for once and for all, atleast +85% of the poor and normal wealth players in runescape would have atleast scearched 1 party hat guy to kill him, atleast 1 full dragon guy and alleast 1 alcer + some random kills of rune guys, obbys sets ect.

"The Falador Massacre"... despite what some are saying this will be talked about for a long time. I believe a rollback is a bad idea since an extremely tiny percentage of RS lost anything (although I'm very sorry to those who have). I think many of us would have done what Durial did, although not many to the same extent. I realize that I would of taken advantage of other's rampages and tried to pick off a few rich people before I stopped. I'm not proud of it but I would have tried to get away with a few million.
