I'm pretty chilled out, and laid back. In other words I wouldn't be one of those cocky arrogant guys who will immediately run up to any girls and start shamelessly flirting and showing off. Even if it works for them, it's not my style, so it doesn't bother me. I guess this makes some people think i'm shy, and there's no point pretending that around some girls I can be "shy", but I guess i just like listening to them. Sometimes it can be tricky to think of things to talk about, but no more than around other guys. Other times it's easy to talk to them. It can depend on my mood, their mood, and the situation.

 

 

 

Just relax, be yourself, be polite, be interesting. Treat them all as individuals, instead of a different species. Bear in mind that some girls are horrible, some are amazing. They're all individual, if you don't like a girl then don't feel obliged to flirt or go out with her, simply because she's a girl or something ridiculous like that.

Sometimes guys that feel awkward talking just clam up and don't talk, but that's a big mistake. The girl might think you're bored or uninterested. Some guys move onto *cough* other activities that don't require talking, but in the wrong context you could get slapped.

Honestly, as a girl I don't think I'm as nervous talking to a guy as a guy is talking to a girl (generally). Most girls get lots of practice in how to initiate and carry on a conversation from their social lives. But then again, theres a lot more pressure on guys to not say the wrong thing and screw up.
