I don't like this and another part of me likes it. This means I will have to eat more food, but Verac is supposed to hit through defense/prayer anyway and plus if I get a barrows drop it will sell a bit more because of this. :D

wow talk about overreacting drama queens. all this means is that you'll have to eat a couple more sharks and maybe cast magic dart a few more times per trip.

 

 

 

 

 

unfortunately jagex have once again shown their incompetence; taking a year to fix such an obvious 'bug' and their 'hidden updates' sending ppl to potential death.

Yes, the title may sound obscure but it is correct. The NPC Verac at Barrows is hitting through mine and my friends prayer! :shock:

 

Do not do barrows unless you already do it without prayer. Either this is a bug or Verac can actually hit through prayer. :x

His set effect negates ARMOUR DEFENSE, not prayer? Players (in the wilderness) hit through prayer better because prayer contributes to the armour bonus. -.-

 

 

 

Monsters do not hit through prayer though because it enables us 100% protection =\

at first, i didnt like the update, but now, it gives barrows a.. "kick" to trips now. I gotta be carefull now :P , oh well, i still pwn veracs anyday

Lucky me, i got 1k trips in and earned my cash, it shouldnt be that hard, ill just wear veracs armor and pray anyway. Jeez you act like food is the most horrid substance available.

ok Just one question, i know Verac's Special effect is that it will in a hit... Act as if you have no armour bonus etc... How HIGH does it hit and how long is this specieal effect last?...personally i would love to buy veracs but i am a poor level 97 w00t!

I'm talking about the lvl 100s whove been using the same innefective technique for the previous 20 combat levels.The people who pray on every single brother than go "lol yea rite" when i say i only use 1 dose of prayer pot and 5 or 6 monkfish a trip.I myself have never prayed againt all 6 brothers out of over 1100 trips.

Doesn't really effect me, i have the worst barrows luck i've ever heard of :P

Doesn't affect me, I never have gone to Baarrows, and I'm to low a lvl to try. Anyways, I'm more of a "buy-everything" person, not do 300 trips for full Barrow's sets. And I have a friend who will give me full sets since I've been such a good friend for a year. :D

My god the barrows are hard, took me 12 Lobsters to do ONE RUN when I ran out of prayer on Verac #-o

I have no problem with the update but I agree it really shouldn't have been hidden that could kill ppl that do other things (forums etc.) while doing barrows :notalk: :-k :evil:

Plus, I don't know if anyone else posted this (I didn't bother reading all the other pages of this thread), but I noticed that even if you pray on him, he wont hit you as much. For example, without prayer he hits alot of 20's and such on me, but when I pray he only hits a max of 12 it seems like.

chances are it may be a bug i mean barrows has been out what over a year now and it's taken them that long to put in one of the major things that people going there may have noticed which is that oh i can use pray on verac and he doesn't hit through

 

saying that though maybe jagex want to make barrows a bit harder because of the rising economy so who knows could be either...

 

EDIT: if you think about it tho still use prayer!!! because he wont hit through every hit and hell probably hit less so still worth it your just gonna need to keep your eyes open more!
