The way I would see the mod thinking is: this guy is not gonna alch the rares, he is just going to keep them and sell for the market worth later on.

 

As said before, nobody in his right mind would sell his rares for the alch value, but also, nobody in his right mind set would *alch* them. It could therefore be considered a scam, since poster will probably not live up to the whole alching promise.

 

As to it being a joke: yeah okay, its meant as a joke, but I dont really see anywhere in the forum post that it should be taken as such.

 

 

 

In anyways, I think the penalty is too severe for the crime: a warning would have sufficed, or locking of the topic by a forum mod stating reason why. Then again, I'm not a Jagex mod, nor a forum mod.

By their current rules you did nothing wrong. I would bet that your mark will be removed and the mod will be "educated". That, or they will fix the rules.

 

 

 

Those forums are for ACTUAL buying and selling. Posting "humorous" threads that offer neither is purely spam. They should make a few new rules that prevent spam posts such as yours. Until they do, your post was completely within their rules.

no offence but it was a bit of a nooby thing to do... Surely you relaise that Jagex will ban you for doing the slightest thing thats nearly wrong, yet somebody could bot for ages and probably get anyway with it. I wouldn't risk my account like that but who/whatever banned you is stupid

3. You only got 1 strike for the offense yet he states if you recieve one more then your account will be banned, this means you had an existing strike before this offense so you are a known trouble causer to them.

 

 

 

4. If you weren't directly banned then it was jagex's decision to punish you, not the "stupid" mods, as it is Jagex's game then they can punish you as they see fit.

in my opinion you were just tryin to take advantage of people who didn't know the price their rares high alched for. i think that the warning you got for this is in this way justified

Your post was spam, should have been locked. You probably didn't deserve the strike but you know what some of the guillable kids on the game are like these days and the mod was probably just trying to protect them.

 

 

 

Basically, if you were Jagex you would want to discourage those kind of threads. A strike is nothing to moan about.

I would alch phats to make the prices skyrocket amd create communism. Phats create squables, if no one could afford one same as everyone else then that would mean one less thing ingame for them to argue over thus creating a better community for all.

You're price manipulating rares, it isn't allowed, even if it is the price you get for high alching it. Even if its a joke, you still shouldn't price manipulate.

Jagex have clearly been morons here, they introduced those items and they are valued at 1-15gp per so you cannot get banned for wanting to buy them at that price. So Fresh does this mean the General store is item scamming you? No, your not going to sell it to the General store are you but they will still try.

Well what about this: If they alch for that much, then isn't it reasonable to say that that would be a decent price to pay for it? Obviously no one would do that, but then Jagex should make them alch for more. I agree 100%, Jagex are absolute idiots.

I would bet that Jagex's Mods viewed it as a fake buying thread to just lower/higher prices. Sounds like a lame reason to be banned for obvious reasons.
