all the time i hear "you have low total for your combat level" or "work on your noncombat skills" in the rate this forums or conversly "you havwe high skills for your combat" and your total is good for your combat"

how do you decide what a good total is for a combat level.

for f2p? for p2p?

forinstance i havee 72 combat 765 total others my level have 751 totals or 811 totals( these are free to plays)

how do you determine how your noncombats rank vrs your combats.

What I usually do when I'm doing something monotonous in RS is I keep the hiscores open in another window and if I see someone my cb level I compare us. Try this out for a week and see what you come up with.

Any way... I'm p2p 92 cb (almost 93) with 1487 total

We don't rebel to sell it just suits us well, we're the bright young things.

Keep in mind that there are the pures, skillers, balanced (\'), and anyone in between. So, basically there's no "average" combat to total level ratio for everyone. You have to specify the type of player.

I'm just a balanced person, not trying to raise strength or anything. But my non-combat skills do fall behind for my combat level. Check the sig for details.

combat: 72

total level: 797

i don't think that a combat level is the way to judge someone. i usualyl do it, but its being sterotypical. you could see a level 3 newb who is very experienced, but you still call him a noob cuz he's level 3 :shame:

well when i was f2p i tried gettign 100 total lvls for every combat lvl

for example:

im lvl 40

i would want 400-500 total lvl

But since im p2p i dont really know how to judge it

but if you have 100+ combat you should have at least 1300+ total

Combat - 101

Total Lvl - 1559

yah i compared me to level 70 and 72 and they were not even ranked in the overall highscores, that made me feel better bout my total level. yah i try to get 100 totals for every combat as well in free to play so i guess in payto play 130 total levels for combat level.

necrobrawler ownes though.

I don't get why people care about comparing total level and combat level. Combat skills are skills that require time and effort to train just like non-combat skills. There is nothing wrong about having 100 combat and 600 total, and nothing special about having 3 combat and 1200 total.

Level 3 skillers are atleast more special than the normal person because its harder to level when your Str, Atk, Def is so low.. getting 99 WC with an iron axe or 99 mining with an iron pick is special in my mind :-w

You don't actually have to wield your pick/axe/whatever. Just have it in your inventory and click on the rock/tree.

In fact, that's what everyone (skiller or non-skiller) has to do to train skills, regardless of combat level.

There used to be a thread about this many years ago (ok so it was about 2 years ago, but 'many' sounds cooler).

Basically if you divided your skill total by your combat you'd get a number. I think people decided that if the number was around 10-12 you had a good ratio of skills to combat, but this wouldn't be the same today, because more skills have been released since this calculation was made such as farming and construction, so people these days have higher skill total in general.
