September 6, 200619 yr Okay, this is a thread for discussion of the Myreque quest series. I'll make some interesting points about the latest quest, and what may come in part IV... enjoy! 1. The Vyrewatch seem literally invincible at this point. Perhaps in part 4 we will be able to find out how to kill them, and other greater vampires such as Vanstrom Klause and the Drakans. I think the Book of Haemalchemy will have something to do with this. 2. Are the Vampyres poisoning Morytania? Does Daeyalt have something to do with that, is it a way to kill Vampyres, is it simply a metal they use and is it tied in with Haemalchemy? Funny how the Vyrewatch SWARMED me while I was looking at the mines... 3. I bet part IV will involve some agility and thieving to navigate the castle. Kind of funny the wall's broken here... AND there's [bleep]es below? How much does that remind you of an agility obstacle? 4. What are these mysterious buildings around Castle Drakan for? Are they simply servants' quarters or something more? And since the humans of Meiyerditch are being 'tithed' to death, who would their servants be? Werewolves? 5. I have a very strong feeling the blood altar will be released in the next part of the quest series, probably in Meiyerditch. Could it be here? Maybe not, maybe it's in Lord Drakan's castle... but this still looks pretty mysterious... 6. In the lab basement, there is a door at the south end, that just ends and only has an examine option. Think of the door in the goblin mines that's suspected to lead to the Dorgeshuun goblins' city. Also note this door is EXACTLY like a barrows door... unfortunately I don't have a screenshot but it's there. 7. Daeyalt. Like I mentioned in point #2, could this be poisonous, or simply a metal used in the Vyrewatch's staves and general purpose? Is the strange warning we get when trying to smith it a general "you can't do this yet" message, or does it seem a little mysterious... as if this ore is important? 8. The giant underground refiery: where? Why? What? What are the Vampyres turning daeyalt ore into? And why? Also, where is this 'underground city', and do the two blocked doors (see #5 and #6) have anything to do with it? Is daeyalt, or the refinery connected to the blood altar? The Myreque series is beginning to be alot like the Plague City series; a LOT of questions are being raised. Two unrelated questions: how many Plague City quests do we have to go, and how far will Jagex go with the Fairy Tale series? Have fun discussing! Good points by other users: 1. Does no-one else think that maybe Haemalchemy is turning things into blood, much like alchemy is turning things into gold? Just think what the Vampyres could do if they could turn things into blood. Fuel an army? Like, yeah. Thats what I was thinking, and maybe this new 'Daeyalt' ore is the raw material they are using to get the blood? Never trust anyone. You are always alone, and betrayal is inevitable.Nothing is safe from the jaws of the decompiler.
September 6, 200619 yr nice job putting this all together and thinking up the ideas. I personally havent done the myerque quests yet, but this certainly gives me an incentive to try it out! I love jagex's quests that have a great storyline Feel Free to Pm me for anything
September 6, 200619 yr Author Thanks, I especially like the Plague City Series... so long between each release, though. I'm beginning to like this Myreque series now, though I hope they do ME-III next month or so. But, back to vampyres! :D Never trust anyone. You are always alone, and betrayal is inevitable.Nothing is safe from the jaws of the decompiler.
September 6, 200619 yr i do have a feeling that the blood altar will be released soon. When this quest was released i thought it was the blood altar, but i think that by the end of this year the blood altar will be released. Maybe halloween?? that wouldbe cool. Feel Free to Pm me for anything

When this quest was released i thought it was the blood altar, but i think that by the end of this year the blood altar will be released. Maybe halloween?? that wouldbe cool. I sort of doubt it would be THE Halloween event, but it would probably be in October. Remember the Zamorak festival or something, that was mentioned by an NPC? Perhaps that will be the Halloween event... Never trust anyone. You are always alone, and betrayal is inevitable.Nothing is safe from the jaws of the decompiler.
September 6, 200619 yr I hope Jagex does not release the next part by halloween. That would be less than 2 full months of testing, writing, and coding for what should easily be one of the best quests in RS.
September 6, 200619 yr More questions: what do you think about werewolves crossing the salve? Will there be a new God war? What were those, Guthix edicts? How are they going to affect things in morytania? Is the monk in Devious Minds involved? Ninjas helping werewolves? They stole something from the monks at entrana church? What was it? How many new quests are we going to get during this year? Are the kalphite queens under the wise old man's bed? Will he attack the wizards tower? When will the drunken dwarf stop giving out free kebabs? How many chaos dwarves you need to change a light bulb? Are Vampires crafting blood runes? How many questions can I ask before you get mad at me? What is west of The elven lands? What is east of Port Phasmatys? What is north of the North pole? ohmygodidontknow. I love asking questions
September 6, 200619 yr For starters.. They probably have people coding and testing quests every month, they work the current one they're going to release next month, and another group working on the one after, and it's a "construction" line of sorts, especially with big quests.. There may already be people working on the Part III :) they probably already have plans written up each month, they just don't tell us till the beginning of the month... :P I loved this quest... It was awesome!!! Lots of questions to be answered... Can't wait for the Witchaven quest later this month too.. About time they made a 2nd part to those darned sea slugs.. :) Wolfy is Officially Retired.I miss you all (Well, mostly my friends n stuff)If you want to talk to me, send me a message, I check the boards daily. :D
September 6, 200619 yr Author Actually, part IV is next. And the new sea slug quest does sound interesting. Also, I don't think Devious Minds is connected with the Myreque... wonder when part II of Devious Minds will come... :-k Never trust anyone. You are always alone, and betrayal is inevitable.Nothing is safe from the jaws of the decompiler.
September 6, 200619 yr You might not know this but the "haem" in the book, is also part of the word "Haemoglobyn" im not sure how its spelt, but i know it is something to do with human blood. Its either what makes it or its scientific name. So from what ive gathered, the book is a book about blood which will probably tell us how to poison vyres or something. Its all in the book :P
September 6, 200619 yr I think that they found a way to make a human's blood poisonous. They were trying to make it easier to get more out of human blood, prehaps they then made it possible for the human's blood to poison the vampyres. 6 damage to kill a vampire is not on my "never ever" list...
September 6, 200619 yr Hemoglobin. Is a component of blood, although now that I think of it, it can also be spelled Haemoglobin. Although the Haem part is just a term for a certain prosthetic group that contains iron, so....
September 6, 200619 yr After this quest, I hate Saradominists even more for dissing my favourite Runescape deity (Guthix), seeing as theirs was one of the causes the wilderness is what it is. PS: Hoorah for Runescape developing lore! :D "300 programmers make their futile but glorious last stand against 1000000 angry players in The battle of Misthalin. They fight for honor, glory and new content sacrificing themselves so that their game may live on. This is Madness! This Is JAGEEEX!"
September 6, 200619 yr You asked how many part there will be to the fairy quest. It's a trilogy. Look up the word trilogy in the dictionary for the answer. And about all this vampyre stuf[bleep]e . . . we really won't know until it's released. edit- wanted to add that one of the three main goals of alchemy was to transmutate human life. Haemalchemy, heme (haem) is the stuff in blood that carries oxygen. So it has to do with blood. Definitely thinking that haemalchemic use of Daeyalt would result of "tainting" the blood of humans, so that the vampyres would die upon drinking it. We don't rebel to sell it just suits us well, we're the bright young things.
September 7, 200619 yr that first screenshot reminds me of the dragon kin place from a tail of two cats. Lastfm

September 7, 200619 yr Wow  nice finds. That blood alter place is real suspicious :-k Oh, Welcome Back :D even though you don't know me

September 7, 200619 yr Does no-one else think that maybe Haemalchemy is turning things into blood, much like alchemy is turning things into gold? Just think what the Vampyres could do if they could turn things into blood. Fuel an army? Like, yeah.

September 7, 200619 yr I just finished the quest and in the last pic you show I believe that will be the blood altar. As soon as I seen it tonight my first thought was * blood altar*. Actually what a good spot to put the altar, we have flying vampires biting us in the necks, up and down ladders, jumping over boards, and climbing shelves. Geesh could it get any more difficult then that. I really enjoyed the quest was challenging and fun. :)
September 7, 200619 yr ok so i was really bored, ( killing kaliphites with hally for slayer ) anyway, i started looking around the knowledge base and i ended up looking at crossbows and the new bolts, now this might not have anything to do with anything, BUT the silver bolt doesnt have a tip to add to it yet, and sence vampires dont like silver... ( i know its spelled different but hey its close to vampires) maybe this new ore will be made into tips, put on our SILVER bolts ENCHANTED with that heamahoweveryouspellit and bam dead winged creatures. HEY i did say i was bored, right? p.s. it would be sweet to have bloodcrafting soon \ i don't play psykick anymore... i play 2ed: "pure fett" 26081 to get 99 herblore
September 7, 200619 yr Blood Altar in Lord Drakans castle I expect. Also I don't think we will be able to get in there for AGES. Reasons. 1. We have NO way of killing the high lvl Vampyres and to do all that in one quest seems silly. 2. Morytania isn't full shown yet! We have some land south of Port Phasmytas and East of Myerdeitch to explore. So I think it's possible that we will have to scout the rest of Sanguinesti for Myreque to help kill Drakan. But once this storyline is over, and I presume we have to kill/banish Lord Drakan... What will happen to Morytania? And don't forget the Werewolves who have found a way to cross the Salve and are taking humans for the Blood Tithe! I think we'll eventually get support from Varrock, an army marches to Drakans castle, and whilst there's a huge battle going on outside we take on the main guy.... Ok that's all in my head but it sounds pretty cool to me!

September 7, 200619 yr Hemoglobin. Is a component of blood, although now that I think of it, it can also be spelled Haemoglobin. Although the Haem part is just a term for a certain prosthetic group that contains iron, so.... I hope the "..." means you know what makes blood red :D Basically yes, "haem" is the pigment that makes blood red, and it's part of haemoglobin (hemoglobin). Hemoglobin is the part in blood that oxygen binds to. I kinda thought of this when I saw the name of the book. The only reason I know all this is because my dad and I were talking about how if you inhaled too much carbon monoxide, how you'd get red instead of blue. I can see how that the idea that maybe haemalchemy is using the daelyt ore to make blood. I am partial also to that idea about silver bolts. The other thing is that obviously it would be an altar in the space not a ruins to an altar, otherwise people would be making insane amounts of money (almost as much as 91 rc) from it. Its a minigame. The first person to catch him gets a Klondike Bar and a handshake from Chuck Norris. Watch out those 2 combined may have adverse effects.
