i'd say str. str is good to scare people so if you hit a 26 and ko someone thats better then hitting 16s they can just eat. attack should be close to your str level though so you can at least hit. def is good for survival if your a nonombat person then def should be your first choice in combat.

in wildy- strength>attack, even if you hit all the time, you cant KO, and noone fights to death in wilderness.

in dueling, attack>strength, hitting just matters more.

in DMs their both as good.

I keep them both at the same level, and screw defence. I always stand behind rocks or pillars anyway, crystal bows ftw :P .

I choose attack... uh... defence.

Actually, I would like some str levels, but I would regret it afterwards.

There 2 Diffrent ways of looking at this

Pker: str> attack why? you need to ko in 1 hit so its better to do a 30 then 2 26's as somone said unless player is a safer

Regular Combat Person: Would say attack>str why? you get to hit more often + with high attack and D Baxe spec youll hit nicely, on defense part im not sure, tho i like keeping it a few lvls (5) then my str

mine combat stats are 84 80 75 and when i get 85 attack ill be done.

Defence of course...

But out of Attack and Strength - it HAS to be Attack.

As long as I can hit hard-ish, but frequently and so that they can't hit me is all I want.

Defence > Attack > Strength

+1. I remember back when my stats were 86-75-85, it was awesome. Started training str, but now I wish I had never made that choice.

I think defense is the best. Let me explain: Attk and Strength take 3 or 4 levels to raise a combat level. Defense takes 4 or 5. Now defense is a combat stat just like attack and strength, and theoretically, a 90 def cancels out a 90 attk to make the high attack mediocre. However, the combat level remains lower and allows more room to raise attack and strength levels on the player with high defense. Remember, this is just a theory, it is not tested.

The way I've always seen it:

Would you rather hit a 30 or two 26's?

Attack > Strength...IMO.

Exactly what I was thinking.

I prefer to keep attack high, defence a tad lower and strength lowest. When I do train combat I am working on 95 90 95 atm it's 95 90 87, also, from what I have heard 95 90 95 is a good staker set up.

Hmm, lets find someone with 90 attack and 80 str, and someone with 80 att and 90 str, put them in the same outfit, against the same monster, for a minute and see hwo deals for damage.

Doesn't have to be those levels and we'll obviously have to do it a few times for accuracy, but if we can find the people why not do it?

(skipped over posts...)

RSC it WAS strength.. because the best way to kill someone was to 3 hit them ( you could not heal during the 3 round combat ), and you would eventually do it faster with more strength than attack..

RS2 tho, it's hard to say. There's 2 views.

If yer a KOing, ambushing, rsc style pker, strength for sure.

A tactical pker, on the other hand, would opt for attack and kill the opponent strategically with a given duration of time instead.

Depends on the type of pking you'll do.

Sure, att makes somewhat of a difference, but it will never be anything as substantial as 26 26 instead of 30 0. Imo, would you rather hit 12 0 0 14 or 1 2 4 2?

STR > att, as long as your att isn't like 50 or something.

Here's your options:

-Hit high, not often

-Hit decent, often

-Hit low, very often, don't get hit

So, I'd go with a decent attack, high strength, and decent attack. But this isn't a help thread, so I'm saying Attack + Strength = Awesome. Basically, why train one when you can train both?

well, i know of a guy who had 99 atk and 90 str or so... and i was reading 1 of his pks... and he definately didnt get a ko.

he was probably potted to... and he said he hit 5 22's in a row. im not even sure if it was 5... but nothing is more reduculous then hitting a 35/# with a dragon dagger.

obviously he didnt get the ko he wore the player down...and they ate, and ive got tons of kills at the duel arena(yes i know, its different because no food.) i killed some 107 or 114 by hitting with a dragon dagger 31/0 31/0 then like 14/17(not sure what the last # was)

then on the rematch, again i hit with my dagger 29/0 29/0, then something else and he died. people get so angry when u hit tons of crazy high #s on people and i dont mean with dharok, i mean macing a 50 on a player.

Well said. Attack is definately underrated in comparision with strength. However, it is just as, if not more important.
