Yeah, I don't know why, but runescape is losing its appeal more and more as the days go by. Maybe it's because MySpace is a tad more fun (/penguinpeopleunited, if you're interested), maybe it's because the only goal I have is a fire cape, maybe it's because I can't find any good way of making money... I don't know why, but pounding on the kq with my 2 greatest friends seems so old now, so boring. I'm pretty sure its the fact that I've conquered anything that has been set before me to do.... and now I just want to sorta lay back and leave my character be.

 

 

 

I'm so scared of quitting, I don't know if I'll come back... Look at my post count, I've invested waaay too much time into these forums to simply quit runescape. And there are fun times, like barrowing with ancients, cw, pc, sometimes kq... But even those things are starting to fade into something that's not fun for me.

 

 

 

Please don't post on here saying "plomg quit k?" or "omg u shud fletch". I want honest to goodness discussions and suggestions on how I can improve the "fun factor" of runescape. I really don't want to quit...

Well i was sorta losing interest in runescape like 2 weeks ago, i just started doing different things that i hadn't really done, i did a little bit of farming (that didn't really help), then i tried theiving, i used knights and pyramid plunder and now im 83 theiving =]. Now im collecting herbs from druids under yanille.

 

 

 

Just try out all the neglected parts of runescape, maybe youll find something that you like?

its kinda fun to pk or farm, you could try raising a skill to 99 or staking. but if you find none of these cool, i suppose you could give all your stuff to me :twisted: lol jk do everything you want, as long as you are happy

You don't really have to quit the game entirely you know. There are other factors of life which are fun. :P

Just take a break from the game. I have lost interest many times but after quitting for a few months I was able to regain interest with all the updates.

To sk8r... I'm not completely bored of RS yet.

i go through fazes where i hate rs, and other games seem more fun.

 

i just cancel ptp, and go play what i fancy.

 

just take a break, and keep your junk. the appeal may come back to you

alot of these threads keep comming up, and they generally relate to lack of high lvl updates. and i am amazed at all the mid-high lvls bored to tears of this great game.

When I get bored of RS (happening alot lately), I look around on the events forum in ROF and find a nice house party to go to, or just play castle wars or fight pits on world 6.

 

If your still bored, don't renew your membership and just play f2p for a while, or go do something else with yourself (real life has better graphics and sound I hear :wink: ).

I've been feeling like this for like 2 years. It seems to go away, but comes back again. Lately it hasn't gone away, and I barely play at all now. I just see if anyone is on to pk, if there isn't i'm off again.

i was feeling like this for a while, so i just looked around the archive of wisdom to find something else to do, found killing metal drags to be ok, then i died loseing about 1.5-2mil worth of stuff, nedded to make the money back and started to KQ

 

 

 

basically just look for something different to do, kill chompies, build the shade temple, pick a skill and stick with it, do any quests you have not done yet, set a goal for yourself, just keep your RS life varied and you wont get bored

Not nessecarily. I found myself bored to the teeth in the two months after i got account scammed. Then i came back, and made it all back, pretty much did all the updates and such.

 

 

 

All i can suggest is to find something else to do for a month or two, and come back for the updates, but wait until your membership runs out if you do have it.

you just need to find a new purpose. stay off rs and dont even come on here for two weeks. Then come back and find something new, catch up with the update or something. You'll find something to do dont worry.

gotta admit, that keeping it varied helps alot, im rarely doing the same thing on one day, also play other games, join a clan, or just spend a few days nto on, they all help

That's the reason why I quit runescape :P

 

If you really don't find it fun anymore just stop playing it until you feel like it again.

 

There's plenty of other things to do in life so don't worry about leaving something you worked so hard on.

I took one summer off because I was busy and I kinda got bored of RS. Sometime later I logged in and looked at all the new updates that occured when I was gone and it led me right back into the game.

EXACTLY. This person has hit the nail on the head out of everyone, just take a break from it.

Just try some things you dont regularly do with new people.

whenever i loose interest, i play WoW. in a week, im back on (end game really isn't that fun when u have everything...)

I know what you mean, I havent seriously played RS since getting 93 str almost a month ago.

Personally, i find myself getting bored with RuneScape because i want to get on with animation more, but lack the program at home due to College. #-o

when ever I start getting bored I just waste my money on things...

 

Like say buying tons of runes for acients in cws...
