Fire cape still takes skill to get. I've seen more skill capes today than I've ever seen fire capes :-s

fire capes will be less worn then before but they will have a higher value then skill capes simply because you dont just train a stat get the cape and buy another every time you lose it

Only thing he wont be the best, is trimmed 99 capes, which give just 2 more prayer bonus, than fire cape does.

 

 

 

 

 

Can't see any reason why fire cape will or would be less worn, now, after this pretty pointless cape update.

 

 

 

I mean, they look cool and everything, but really, who would prefer it to a fire cape? :rolleyes:

but when training: mage still be god cape. range/melee will be fire cape unless u got 2 99's and u need the prayer bonus over atack/defence bonus.

 

 

 

I am not sure what the hp cape special do but if it heals u or something like that people that got it might prefer to use it instead of firecape. (same for prayer)

fire cape still gives a pray bonus, just 2 less, depends if u prefer 2 extra defs and 4 extra str, 1 extra attacks or 2 extra prays.

 

 

 

fire cape still has the best stats in the game, probably even if i get some 99 stats ill still use my fire cape always.

It does. Every cape gives a temporary +1 to their respective skill. Either click "operate" when worn or simply re-equip the cape for the +1 again.

 

 

 

Like others have said, Fire Cape is still the best cape in the game overall. I will still wear mine most the time, but for instance when fighting Steel Dragons I may now opt for a hitpoints cape simply because it's easier to replace along with 2 higher pray bonus. Fire Cape is only worth 36k, while these capes are worth about 57k and only cost 99k to replace.

Sadly, God capes would probably be more useful when maging :? . Maybe it'd be good for Magic Darting 20's on Rex and the Barrows Brothers, but other than that it's just fo show.

Even if they made capes with tons better stats than fire cape but easy to get I would use fire cape, it's still way more respected than a skill cape. Skill cape takes alot of clicking and time where fire cape takes skill to defeat all those waves and then kill a 702.

actully if you have a house + costume room you can put that obby cape on the cape rack( thats what i did... lol)

Firecapes will still show off your true skill, but i think they should maybe make the fire cape look a lil cooler or add sumtin else on to it.

Depends you are.. A level 3 skiller aint gonna want a firecape, and someone with 99 slayer is going to hold that cape.. .If your just an average, semi-skiller who likes combat, then i guess you'll value the cape very highly.
