So, today was my day off for college. Every thursday I have no classes, so it's a nice break before friday.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Well, I woke up around 11:30am and got on the PC. Than, at about 2:00 we got called down to the hall. It basicly went like this:

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Hall director: So, there was a bomb threat called and we are taking this serriously.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Hall director: Everyone in the school has to evacuate, including the dorms. The hotel (forgot name) will have room for us.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

So, that was it. Now, me not having a car thought "*". My roomate didn't have one either, so me, him and another friend just started walking. Ran into someone who managed to take us to the hotel, so while there we went to wal-mart.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

We probaly stayed around wal-mart for 30mins. I got something to eat and we were off back to the hotel.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Now for the boring part. At about 5:30 I called my mom to let her know what was going on, and I also wanted to get an update. The bomb squad had been called out because they found a suspicious object.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Well, finaly at 7:30pm they said it was safe to go back.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Anyways, there went my day. 5+ hours of litteraly just siting around, doing nothing. Talk about boring.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Has anyone else here had a bomb threat called against their school? It was always nice back in the day to get a day off of classes and just go home, but when you live on campus it sucks.

Just idiots who pull fire alarms and pepper spray the hallways in my school... -.-

Thing is I partly think this was because we still had the Anti-Abortion campagin people around the campus green. They had to pack up for the day because of the threat, so I think maybe someone made it so that they couldn't.

Turns out it was whey powder.

My middle school had one once. We had to walk to the highschool and sit in the gym for a few hours. I think after that we were bussed home. Not exactly my definition of a fun time.

Our principal smelled something funny when I was in 3rd grade, so they had everyone shipped over to the middle school (not the one that our elementary school fed into in the first place) It turned out to be a week old sock in somebody's cubby. Last year at school there were bathroom wall threats for example "All christains and preps will die" They did this like everyday so we were always on lockdown. Sometimes we could'nt go to school. So they took more days away from our summer break. -.-

Yeah. We've had several bomb threats on our school. One of which, we mainly spent the whole day outside on the football field. It sucked because it was super cold.

We've had a few, but mostly we just have riots and some gun violence that locks down the school anyway. The other day there was a fight with about 30 people suspended and 5 arrested, but thats the worst that happens regularly.

Oh wow. That reminds me. We had THE WORST fight I've ever seen at school today... A guy got really cut up in his face. (the other guy punching him was wearing a ring) I've never seen so much blood before. We have alot of violence and drug abuse at our school.

We had a bomb scare last week; some idiot wrote graffiti in a bathroom stall and we missed 1.5 periods as dogs came in and went through the whole school

A few years ago, there was an actual attack on a highschool right near mine.

 

 

 

Some kids brought in guns and bombs, but the police were able to stop it in time. It was all over the news for like a week :cry:

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Police said he had brought 18 bombs, a disassembled shotgun and a pistol to school. :|

there was a bomb threat on a road next to mine, it was supposibly inside a telephone box. Found out later on the news that the bomb was two grenades :shock:

I did that on accident once :o My friend doubledogdared me to do it, but I offcourse said no, but I touched it playfully and the glass broke :shock: I don't think we've ever ran so fast in our entire lives :lol:

When I was in grade 8, there were three bomb threats. I was sick one one day, but they just send you home and no school for the day. My sister goes to that school now, and there's been two bomb threats so far. :|

On July 8th I think it was (the bombings in London...) we got to go home, huge fuss about parental care, papers, police, urrrgh. It wasn't a bomb threat against my school personally, but yeah... :wall: And horrible, we ended up taking 5 of my friends home because they're parents were at work...

in 6th grade there was a guy going to the bathroom, another kid came up and hit him in the back off the head and knocked him out. When the kid woke up he was tied by his belt to the metel pipe in the bathroom going along the ceiling. a teacher walked in later and got him down. Everyone avoided the bathroom for the whole 6th, 7th, and 8th grade.

My older Junior high once had to evecuated because someone called in saying he planted a time bomb under one of the portables. Aparently it was supposed to go off on the weekend but it didn't. The guy didn't want anyone to be killed so he admitded he did it so that the bomb squad could disable before it detonated. And im fairly sure that dynamite or some other explosive (something much bigger than cherry bombs) was found in a students locker at one time or another.

Last year, my school's newspaper got a "threatening letter". So 20 minutes before school ended, we were all sent to our homerooms to listen to our principal "talk". You see, my principal looks like a hamster, probably smells like a hamster, talks like a hamster, and probably tastes like a hamster. I guess not a hamster, but more of a guinea pig/mouse. Yeah, really quiet, high, and squeaky. So from what I could make out "...Threatening...School...Suspicious...Safe". 20 minutes of Phys. Ed. wasted...

we had a bomb threat at our school once and we were standing out in the cold for like 10 minutes wondering what was happening, then we got shipped off to the high school (im in middle school) and everyone thought there was some physco guy running around w/ a gun on the 6th grade floor :lol: then when we got there they told us and we watched some TV :)

wow, that must have been scary. I'd be panicking so much if I knew there was a bomb scare in my area. I'm nervous to begin with, but your situation? Wow.

i've been in birmingham city centre when there was a bomb threat. we couldn't leave the city, which did my head in cos it was last winter and it was FREEZIN!

 

 

 

Also, last year when we were flying out to Nerja, birmingham airport was evacuated due to a bomb scare...turns out someone had left a bag on the floor and it was the FIFTH time it had happened that day. God, that bored me momentarily.
