But the odds of a third age piece (it's also a computer game so nothing is ever random) are 1:1000 I believe, in pieces:clues. So that means every 1000 clues, one third age piece is given out. That means you have a 1/1000 X 1/1000 for that clue to work, meaning there is a 1 in 500,000 (2 in 1 million simplified) chance of that clue working out. And that's only if Jagex allowed double-third age piece clues to exist, which I doubt they did but it's possible. There's cake through here, apparently. Yea, I agree about the fake part, but if you multiply 1/1000 * 1/1000 you get 1/1,000,000 not 2/1,000,000. It's possible to get 6 third age items from a clue just like any other item. AFAIK each clue part gets you a "reward", a "random" number is generated then compared to a list of items, if the number matches to that of an item you get that item. Simple as.
