November 2, 200619 yr first off what do you need the spade for? Second off, I traded a rune two handed for a bronze axe, used the bronze axe and dropped it. Spades are quite useful in members. Barrows, clues, quests, farming.. \
November 3, 200619 yr not saying all, but most of u are probably lying trying to show off how rich u are and how u just throw away rune like its nothing i myself have santa and 3 mil cash, but ive never spent over 1k for sumthing i only needed atm pure:demon_x_king
November 3, 200619 yr when the login serv was down, i did the haloween event on my low lvl pure ive made for when login servs = my main cant get on, and i paid 10k for a bronze axe because i couldnt be bothered going to lumb to get one.
November 3, 200619 yr From my knowledge that isn't merchanting merely rip off lol Not really. Merchanting is simply selling to people what they need. If they are willing to pay a higher price for it, that is their decision, they don't have to. Reminds me of the day when construction came out though. I had around 500 steel bars in my bank already, but people were buying nails for ridiculous prices. A quick shifty with an anvil and bobs-yer-uncle, 2 mil quick profit! Of course I ended up spending all of that and more raising my construction level... 99/99 Fletching, 99/99 Cooking, 96/99 Strength
November 3, 200619 yr If I need an item, and dont feel like taking 3 minutes to get it, ill pay 100k for it. Ive paid 100k for pickaxes, gems, stupid quest stuff u forget.
November 4, 200619 yr The irony here is that he could've gone to the Woodcutting Tutor in Lumbridge and gotten one for free :XD: Yah.. that is pretty ironic.. yah In almost complete retirement.
November 4, 200619 yr Even though jagex made the holiday items untradable, people can still make alot of money from holidays like these..
November 4, 200619 yr I'm not surprised I do it quite a bit but not too much to the extremes. If you got the money than why not is my philosophy. I'd rather spend more and get onto the things I have set out to do than to waste time trying to get a good deal on an item. It may sound stupid but "Time is Money" alot of the time.
November 4, 200619 yr I have a collection of xes from bronze to rune. Yup, I have all 6 F2P axes. So obviously, I wouldn't need to buy an axe for this event. But who cares about me? For the Easter event, I remember getting over 200 options at the Falador respawn of a spade. A little less at Draynor, but still quite a few. Some high-level kept taking them, he obviously was going to sell them. But I had my secret spade respawn. Upstairs in Varrock general store. No one else was there, just me. So I collected 10 spades, and sold them for 5K each. The 50K profit was a lot to me back then... So yeah...If you think before you buy, you might save yourself some money. For example, say you're in world 1/2. You're trying to buy 2K chaos runes. You stand the marketplace, saying that you'll buy them for 150 each, although you can get them much cheaper at a rune store. Maybe not on a crowded world, but on some worlds you can. Cenin pân nîd, istan pân nîd, dan nin ú-cenich, nin ú-istach.Ithil luin eria vi menel caran...Tîn dan delu.
November 4, 200619 yr the best type of merchanting, impatient holiday eventers. 8-) If at first you dont suceed, then you fail.

November 5, 200619 yr Ah, good old "OMG I N33D AN 4X3!" noobs. After making about 10k selling spades last Easter, as soon as I found out that axes were needed I got a ton of bronze ones. Made another 20k pretty easily. \
November 18, 200619 yr I just saw some1 buying a bronze axe for 5k. I trade him and he offered 5k and 4 uncuts rubies. Of course I accepted. Man, I should have done that. I spent my time selling steel axes and tinderbox sets at that fishing place, kamaja? for 500 each. Thank the world for spell checkers.
November 18, 200619 yr Lol...I remember during the last Easter holiday event, I must have sold like 10 spades for what must have been 43k worth of stuff! Pretty much what Dragon said.Thread terminated.I guess that means I'm the thread Terminator? No Tip.Iters were harmed in the making of this post.

November 18, 200619 yr One time a sold a chisel for 20k. I thought he just need one really quick and had a lot of cash to waste. Right after is sold him the first one he wanted another for 20k. Sold him that one too. Net profit; 39,998 gp.
November 18, 200619 yr This happens all the time, it's called taking advantage of desperate people. Back in RSC when better pickaxes than bronze were released, a lot of people didn't know where to buy or how much they costed. So guess what? I bought loads of addy pickaxes and sold them for 30 - 40 grands in mining spots. Rune pickaxes were traded for rares like party hats, and everyone was camping in the dwarven mine pickaxe shop to wait for a rune pickaxe to respawn. Oh yeah, I usually sell pots of flours *cough* drugs *cough* for 1k each. Most people still don't know where the pick axe shop is
