November 2, 200619 yr Author Don't Stop Me Now - Queen :P When i was young, i held on to U2- One as funeral song. Same like U2 - Beautiful day. I dont know, should think about it. Yeah actually I wouldn't mind playing U2 or Coldplay songs on my funeral either. : The Enrichment Center reminds you that the weighted companion cube will never threaten to stab you and, in fact, cannot speak. November 4, 200619 yr WELL. I would like them to be touching but cheerful, and people celebrating my life rather than mourning over my death. Definitely 'It's a Wonderful World,' by Louis Armstrong. This song has always been special to me even though it's actually not that good. It was recently played at the funeral of quite a close friend who I admired more than anyone else I had ever known. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Olvwmbh5TL8 Probably 'Mr Tambourine Man' by Bob Dylan. I hate his voice, I hate the song, I think it's terrible. But it makes me feel good. (And I hate his damn harmonica!!) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XRbeUnn-AUA 'There's Something In The Air' originally by Thunderclap Newman, resung here by Hayley Sanderson... ahhh beautiful. 8-) The words are also very moving. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=opO4fFcxazA And 'This is The Way to Amarillo'. This song is sooo special to me! Me and my class sang it on the last day of school when we conga'ed down the road. Ha, I'll always remember it.... our happy, innocent voices raised in raucous chorus as we waltzed together... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B69DynFnzaU Hear how the crowd pick up the beat and start clapping... so cool. But then again is Jonathon Ross... :3> . Lol, anyway, all those songs mean alot to me, though they're probably all pretty cliched choices! (And a bright, warm saxophone piece as I get laid to rest : )
November 4, 200619 yr Actually, I change my mind. I choose to die just to have Imagine - John Lennon played at my funeral. November 4, 200619 yr Well, I guess if my family had to have a wake/funeral for me then I guess I would want them to play Gary Jules - Mad World at some point. But I really wouldn't be caring all that much, since I would be dead.
November 4, 200619 yr Is it fitting to play like..trash metal at a funeral? :-s Ah.. I don't really listen to anything slow pace or even.. close to it; so I really don't have much of a disition. So I guess i'd have to go with no music at all. |Msg me me in-game | IrreIephant| ^ capital i

November 11, 200619 yr 'Fade to Black' by Metallica or 'Spirit in the Sky' by Doctor and the Medics. I really wouldn't call it an era. It was more of a definitive time period during which dinstinctive characteristics were expressed in similar ways.
November 11, 200619 yr Shine On You Crazy Diamond Pt.I and maybe II The slow intro, and the simply beautiful, heart wrenching guitar solo is perfectly solemn and moving. Now We Are Free - Hans Zimmer, from the Gladiator soundtrack. It's sad, but uplifting and powerful. Very moving. What A Wonderful World - Louis Armstrong Perfect :) "Da mihi castitatem et continentam, sed noli modo"
