mikeb912
Who has ever heard of them? I personnaly think they have some great songs. Especially "My Spirit Will go on." If you've heard of them before I'd like to know what you think of them.
Necromagus
They're alright. Their guitarwork is decent and the lung capacity of the lead singer is amazing. They're fun to listen to for a while, but they tend to get boring after a few songs. ktmcf121
i saw them in concert once, and i have to say, although their guitarwork is amazing, the thing that stood out most to me was the keyboard/synth/keytar player. he was awesome to watch, especially the crazy solo he played. Anesthesia
I think they are funny because of how cheesy they are. As I said to one of my friends, the sort of people who listen to Dragonforce are the sort of people who buy/collect swords. ...And in trials with the people I know in RL, that has proved to be 100% true. I don't like the band. Some people are changed by being a moderator. I wouldn't be.
How2PK
I don't buy swords. :P But yea, they're incredibly cheesy. My brother likes them a lot, and he has got three swords. :o Signature by Maurice SendakWhen the stars make you drool just like a pasta fazool, that's amore! Futurama
Yea most of their lyrics are about quests and stuff...apparently most of their influence comes from computer games, hahah... they're pretty good but get a bit boring. talented as hell though :|
How2PK
Heh, I had a customer of mine. He always comes to our shop, and every now and then I give him advice on what to buy. And one day he came to ask if we had Dragonforce, I told him we didn't have it but that he could try another shop. And that Valley of the Damned was quite alright. So two weeks ago, he bumped in on me when I had a day off. So he was all enthusiastic "Look what I got myself!" so he takes of his jacket (remember, this is al happening in the middle of a bussy street) and tells "A Dragonforce hoodie! The cover-art of Inhuman Rampage is on my back!". All proud of it. It was quite funny. :P He's a cool guy though. Zoidnerd
they are the greatest speed metal band in the world. but they lack bass and tremble. If i want motivational music is metallica, if i want late for school wake up music i listen to dragonforce on the way to school. blushenka
Iron Maiden is the Father, Dragonforce is the Son and Tolkien is the Holy Ghost. (Amen. ;]) And the word for them is epic, not cheesy. :P Epic, I say *waves sword* "Metal isn't about violence or faggy whiny lyrics. It isn't even about who plays the heaviest and fastest. It is about invoking a sense of wonder and magnitude that no other genre can depict."
Azvareth
While I'm not really a fan of the band, I saw them live a month ago with a group of friends, mainly for the entertainment value. And I have to say they're a very, very good live band. They're also a group of very talented musicians (the ones with instruments anyway). Especially their bassist: he's a good growler, bassist, and probably just as good on the guitar as Herman and Sam (Sam and him switched instruments during a song, and he pulled off an impressive solo). Their music does get boring though - and quick. At the end of the concert, I was thoroughly sick of it. Fun to watch though.

assassin_696
They're pretty good really. I have to say watching their videos that they are all very skilled musicians. But they do get boring after a while, their songs all sound very similar, and yeah they are a bit cheesy. It's nice when one of their songs comes up on shuffle every now and again though. megadedhed
but they lack bass and tremble. exactly.. that is my only problem with them. a loud bass is what gives metal its "heavy" sound, but since it is very toned down in dragonforce, it kinda kills the heavyness factor. sanday79
I saw em at Ozzfest back in August, thought it was pretty corny stuff. I mean it was cool for about 10 mins, then I got real tired of it, cuz all their songs kinda blend together to my ears.

pfilc23
My hair grew long just listening to one song...lol. I wouldn't say they're unique tho...pretty much sound like the other 100's of D&D-style metal bands I've heard.
BlueLancer
I saw a Dragonforce guitar duet on youtube that was pretty cool. Looked like it belonged in a cheesy arcade game though That's because in an interview, one of the band players did say they get huge influences from old video games (street fighter had exactly that kind of 'cheesy' metal on occasions). :P I heard about DragonForce maybe a year ago, when I was looking for new stuff to listen to. They had maybe 3 or 4 decent songs but I could never finish albums like Valley of the Damned. (Just try listening to the song 'Black fire' 3 times in a row without falling asleep in between of the like... 2 minute semi-monotonous solos) Some of the stuff is just too boring to listen to or sound a little.. 'Hippie'. But at least they have positive lyrics. :) If you're a real geek for Dungeons and Dragons and that sort of stuff, you'd love this band though.
