Freesia
To all owners of a 99 cape or quest cape, you would be getting people following you, asking for the emote. Particuly rather rare 99 capes, like herblore, thieving, mining and agility, expect these many times. Today i even had an unpleasant experience of some1 who is willing to follow me to the ends of the world for the emote. I simply think that such emotes are an unneccessary addon to the capes. Oh and btw, don't bother telling not to wear them, i need the 100/99 stat when i thieve. Discuss Strangely with WotLK so near, I wished I could delay it a bit to push through that last TBC content in MH/BT :'(.
Giordano
I dont have a Skill Cape, but I feel sorry for the Cape Wielders. :( It must suck already having players following you, but begging for emote? Sucks. "The cry of the poor is not always just, but if you never hear it you'll never know what justice is."
Shazarabbit
Even though you said not too, the simple option is to not wear them. What reason would you need 100/99 thieving for? Seriously, you may not like the emote but many others do. Just ignore these players, thats what the rest of us do. Fat_Slug
i hate being asked for my emote... 99 theiveing here, and i wear the cape for the looks basically. plus i housed my other capes, so its the only cape i have in bank atm. but it annoys me that i should feel obliged to take time just to show it off, there are plenty of vid's around for people to look at the emote (thats what i did to see them all) i will only do it if a) the person is very polite, and B) i am in the mood to be nice (which is rare hehe) Runescape nick : Fat_SlugOwner of Ears, Scythe and a 10 year veteran cape :D

I don't think many people dress themselves up for any personal benefit, rather they dress up for the effect it has on others, and the possible boost to self esteem found therein. trunksrs
Is it really that much trouble to click a mouse and spen maybe 5 seconds to do the emote? As long as people are polite about it, and actually ASK instead of DEMAND, I'm more than happy to oblige. Rock Hard
its is a great looking cape, why shouldn't i wear it when doing things in game? Wear it! By all means! But be ready to accept the consequences of wearing it. why should i haveto look at a char that looks weird (without skill cape my char doesn't look as nice). I'm sorry, but I find the concept that characters without skill capes look 'weird' slightly silly. They look 'normal', no less, no more. and surely if i have clicked enough times to enable to right to wear that cape, i should have the right to wear it without being hastled every 5 mins? Whilst being hastled must be an irritation, there are a couple of simple solutions: Ignore list. [Yup, you only have so much room - But i'm sure after 5 mins of beng ignored, the offending person will give up and you can remove them.] Public chat: Friends. [Not practical for trading situations, but if the hassle gets too much i'm sure the silence would be welcome] i wear the cape for 100% my pleasure, not for joe bloggs off the street who feels they have a right to see the emote. there's vid's for that.... Are you honestly telling me that the reason you the cape [Or a nice shirt for a meal out] is worn entirely because YOU think it looks nice? I mean, you know how great you are (No sarcasm intended), but nice clothes are one way of showing other people how great you are. If I was alone at college I would probably attend in my Pyjamas, as it stands - I don't. ;) At the end of the day, you have to weigh up the benefits and disadvantages of wearing your cape. It makes you feel nice, great! But is the hassle worth it? If you decide to wear it, despite the hasstle [As i'm assuming you do?] it's not right to comlain when you get hassled. IMHO. - Gid. Star_Fox
i cant find any proper ways to avoid this. theres many desparate people out there, but what trunksrs said, it would not kill you to wait 3 seconds for the emote to finish...its better then being the center of attention
