I had such high hopes for this game, and then it turns into this...

You have tons of units with guns, but if you kill the Antichrist's army, you lose the level...wtf.

My god man, are you mad?! Majora's Mask is one of my favorite games of all time! In my opinion, it was much better than Windwaker, and one of the best games ever.

Anyway, I remember there was this game I played a few years back on a friend's PC, and it was a racing game in which you raced these big ole' trucks, and you would often times just fall through the playing field into nothingness. Terrible.

Also, does anyone remember that game, "Cruisn' USA"? I hated that game with a fiery passion. Thank the gods my brother doesn't play it anymore.

I guess you can tell that I'm not a fan of racing games. :P

Any games based off movies. Nuff said.

Played Spiderman 2? Awesome game!

Same with Chronicles of Rid[bleep]! :P

And for the EA hater, played Burnout 3?

@XplsvBam, I take it you don't play many games then if Majora's Mask is your alltime low =\

And for my alltime worst... it'd have to be Starsky and Hutch >.< Egads, that was horrible! You had to spend an hour shooting a car for it to finally stop and racing was almost impossible with your underpowered car and their super cars

I know your religious beliefs but why on earth would you expect a game like that to be a decent game, regardless of its motives? I'd expect it to be on a par with the game 'Ethnic Cleansing', simply from a quality point of view.

Some people are changed by being a moderator. I wouldn't be.

Never really got to like this game, no matter how hard I tried. Maybe I were too young, but on the killing people category, the early GTAs were much better than Carmageddon.

Ha! This is true 99% of the time!

Sort of true. I would say most of the time but some games have been decent. I know some will disagree on this but I liked the game Batman: Begins. I bought it for $5 at Target and it was a fun day or two playthough. It wasent this crazy innovative game but it was pretty cool.

You played it sober, didn't you? That's ok, a lot of people make that mistake :-w

Anyway, my worst game would probably be an old DOS game of which I can't remember the title. It's a 2D platformer where you fight an alien invasion (which narrows it down substantially). The aliens' one true weekness is... salad. So you set out on a quest to gather ancient salad shooters with which you're supposed to defeat this alien horde. I played through one episode of it in about 30 minutes and managed to get a few minutes into the second episode before I gave up. Repetetive and stale gameplay + poor graphics + a plot that even my eight year old self found rediculous = a frustrated me.

majora's mask a 0/10.

Are you kidding me?! That was one of the best old school Zelda games out there!

Anyway, I havn't had any really bad games in the past... Except a funny thing is that when KOTOR 1 came out, I thought it was such a bad game because I kept on dying way too much and I quit with about an hour in it. Then a year later, a friend told me you should use swords on everyone know matter what. Next thing you know, I beat KOTOR 1 in 3 weeks and I'm playing KOTOR 2 now :P

I want that game so bad, those books changed my life. You probably cant kill the Antichrists army becasue its wrong in Christian beliefs.

Hmmm... worst game I've ever played...

All Crash Bandicoot games for the PS2.

And some Lord of the Rings turn-based RPG with stupid knock-off characters, and absolutely boring as well.

And some PC paintball game. I think IGN gave it a 0.4.

Not "nuff said". Care to explain why games like "The Chonicles of Rid[bleep]: Escape From Butcher Bay", "Tron 2.0", "Knights of the Old Republic", "Dark Forces" and "Jedi Knight" (and I could name 5-10 more if you really wanted me to). You know, games that make the movies even better?

And I'm not sure what the question is. The actual WORST game I've ever played, from a technical and artistic standpoint, or the game I liked least. If the latter is the case, Halo is the clear winner. Obviously it was a technically competent game, relatively bugfree and had sufficient gameplay, but it was just too bland; mediocre if you will, to warrant such high praise. The way people talked about it, saying it was the best game ever, then playing through about 3 levels and realizing I'd been lied to and that I had commited to playing such a mediocre game was devastating. Not a BAD game in the traditional sense, just a tremendously disappointing one.

As for the former, I don't buy bad games...If I looked up the scores of all the games I own on all the biggest websites, I can pretty well guarantee there's nothing below a 75%.

I thought Brothers in Arms was completly gawdy and I almost vomited from playing such revolting crap. Max Payne and Dead to Rights were also dumb and pointless.

The preview at Celebrate Freedom (largest outdoor concert in world, happens to be Christian 4th of July...I go because it's 5 minutes away from my house) looked pretty decent with explosions and stuff.

There have been several fun Christian games, like the "Doom" knock-off where you have the "Sword of Light" and purify the souls of Romans. Fun stuff. Actually scarier than "Doom" at some parts.

And Free_Steel1: In the Left Behind books, believers kill GC troops quite often in self defense. Other times, they simply fried them with the DEW's. Heck, George, Buck and Rayford even charge Jerusalem with UZI's, Rayford shoots Carpathia, and many other violent acts occur.

Not to mention the game is set during WW3, so why wouldn't Coalition Troops fire at UN troops?

And this post must look very odd to people who haven't read the books :P.

The game is repetitive.
No kidding, that's the point. I actually like the concept of being tight on time for once, rather than in some games where you can take as long as you damn feel like for anything (eg: Oblivion).

Examples:

You have 3 days, you go back probably a 2 dozen times in the course of the game. You have to do many things over (like for example fighting dungeon bosses more then once) if you don't play the entire game through. I played the game over a course of a week just because of school and social life. I ended up doing many things over. Partly because I didn't play it through but mainly due to bad design.

Funny you should say that. I've played it for less than 24 hours net time on my newest file and I have:

- Completed every "journal" entry.

- Beaten every boss (inc Majora)

- Gotten every mask

- Gotten every item

- Gotten every reward from all the Great Faries.

It's not bad design, I completed 5 of the journal "side quests" the same time I did the "Anju & Kafie" main side-quest. When you wait around you waste time. Do something productive.

If you screw up on a quest you have to start over from day one and in some cases you would have to start over and wait till lets say 2am (the ghost side quest to get a bottle.)

Gotta be a pretty bad shot with a bow to botch that one up, I didn't even have a map or the bunny ears and still pulled it off without trouble. It's perhaps the only quest to be really "out of the way" then again, I did get 6 heart pieces while "waiting" the day out.

I don't really have any problem with the main story except that it is extremely easy. Many parts in the main story were repetitive (like getting the zora eggs for the water level.)

Anything "main" like collecting the zora eggs are a once off event. If you did it again, shame on you - fool.

The game is badly programmed.

An example I can think off the top of my head is the goron race side mission. In alot of racing games programs incorporate a factor called "catchup" to make up for badly designed levels or cars. In most games the catchup factor is noticable but usually doesn't effect game play. In good racing games the catchup isn't noticable.

The catchup in the goron race is so bad you can either start off at the very back or the very front and still win/lose (if you are in the front the catchup is in the cpu's favor and if you are in the back the catchup is in your favor.). This factor alone makes the goron race repetitive/boring.

This I agree to some degree. I lost the goron race twice despite that not being possible. On one go I knocked half the pack off the bridge, and the last closest guy was noticably behind me on the map, I stayed straight, took the quickest routes and got beaten out despite the lead I had going round the final bend.

Most zelda fans overlook simple mistakes like this just because of the story. Since I didn't play the story through I was able to catch alot of these mistakes.

More like nitpicking on issues which aren't issues at all - more towards your inability to effectively make use of the time you're given?

Also the game is way to easy. In most zelda games I have to make use of the bottles, in this game I don't think I ever used one till after the water level. Actually I can't remember ever using them.

You mean before?

Bottle before the Woodfall temple.

Bottles before the Great Bay temple.

Bottles in numberous side-quests (which can be before the Great Bay temple)

You have to be kidding me if you think majora's mask was a good game, I would disagree with you if you thought it was even mediocre.

I'm a zelda fan and because of that I hold zelda games to high expectations, majora's mask is by far the worst zelda game and for that matter game that I have ever played.

That's a laugh, any half-decent fan of zelda could complete MM with no more than 12 'backs in time'. I did it in 10, probably could've gone for one less, but I took a bit too long in once section of Stone Tower temple and over-shot the meet with Kafie to get the Sun Mask back :-?
