Name a Band unique to you

What I mean is, post a band that you listen to and don't think anyone else [who reads this forum] listens to.

I'll start with Arsis, a melodic death metal band.

I've listened to them before, they were on tour with Necrophagist.

Anyways,

Dying Fetus, Necrophagist, Demilich, Fanatical [Productions].. I've got some really 'D.O.' music laying around. I'm sure people have heard most of what I've listed.

These are all bands that aren't as well known, though I'm sure others listen to them;

Between the Buried and Me perhaps? Gravenhurst?

I think alot of what I listen to is kind of popular for its genre.

Cool.

Doesn't seem to be a whole lot of Libertines, Babyshambles, Pete Doherty or The Stone Roses fans on these forums.

Maybe its just because the time I saw Pete Docherty he was out of his face and could barely stand but I dont really like him. I thought the Libertines were ok but he's just a mess now with Babyshambles.

yeah... he is surrounded by a greenish-grey cloud, and you can also hear that from his music. When he was little more in his senses, he was ok, but now he (his brain) is done for.

Tortoise and vitallic are actually pretty famous. And neither of them are indie; tortoise is post-rock and Vitallic is a DJ. But of course you did say 'most' of em, so the others I don't know might be indie.

Hmm, I think Sufjan is about the most popular folk artist in the world of music lovers and the Gorillaz are (were...) HUGE in europe.

Oy, have you listened to the Oumupo series before? I think you'll find it quite interesting. :) Chromeo is worth checking out as well. And I guess you're known with Kraak & Smaak.

Yeah... they are very popular all over, but they are still very unique.

You don't have to be non-mainstream to be different.

(Maybe I'm not following what you're saying here:?)
