Post your THREE nominees for Worst Update for Runescape in 2006. By worst, I think you should limit it to something you think lessened the enjoyment of the game, but it's upto you as it's your votes.

Rune Essence adjustment - Less profit from runecrafting and harder to obtain pure essence without the supply of F2P.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

On a side note, as soon as I saw the Rune Essence adjustment update I sold some stuff and bought about 370k pure essence for 40 each :XD: and sold 200k later for 100each :XD: \'

Glided altar - makes prayer too easy to lvl

 

 

 

PC - Too easy to max out combat

 

 

 

Pure ess - Do i need to explain further?

Strangely with WotLK so near, I wished I could delay it a bit to push through that last TBC content in MH/BT :'(.

Pest Control and Pure Essence are the only really bas updates this year in my opinion. There were some not so useful updates, but they didn't make the game worse in any way, so just those two for me.

ok, here is my opinion:

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

1. Hunting: not because the skill is entirely bad, but because it could be done a thousand times better if it wasnt so rushed, and made to be a 6 years old kid-friendly. Hunter can be fan, but it will always stay a huge miss.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

2. Animal magnetism.

 

 

 

Bad story, too easy quest, a reward that is only to "spoil" players and prevent them from making effort to fletch or get arrows of their own.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

3. Its hard to choose between the warrior guild, pest control and trouble brewing.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

But i will choose pest control, for being a safe-exp-machine that made leveling much too easy.

I was once at the airport with my friends in California, had to go "potty" really bad, and just pissed my pants in the middle of the terminal. (All the cool kids piss in their pants, right?)

I'd say Agility Pyramid right at the start of the year. Pest Control and Pure Essence Update.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Agility Pyramid - Pointless?

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Pest Control - Makes it way to easy to level Combat

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Pure Essence - Much more expensive to train Runecrafting, and less profitable.

trouble brewing seriously, who the hell has does that game? thats the only thing i can remember i didnt like much, it was fun the first few days just to constantly burn the water tap of the other teams and trap people on bridges, then they fixed it.

1)Whimiscal tone of all new updates (No serious adventure stuff, just salamanders and chinchompies as great weapons, while "my arm" eats groutweed...)

 

 

 

2) Emote clues (work twice as hard for your cabbage reward, and lame way to make smithing count for something)

 

 

 

3) Temple trekking (Just disappointing rewards and too frustrating, could have been good)

These are all as bad as each other in no particular order...

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Slug Menace - I just plainly hate quests

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Animal Magnetism - Really easy quest, allows people to pick up arrows and knives and darts. Makes it extremely easy to get ranged exp and money. Why don't they just give free money to people who complete the quest <.<

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Temple Trekking - Used for 1 or 2 days. NOBODY uses it anymore.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The game world renaming was pretty bad. There were several useless things aswell.

1. Essence. Even Jagex didn't want it to go the way it did. I was F2P at the time but i had been a member, so my 10k normal essence turned into 10k pure essence haha. But thats easily worst.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

2. Pest Control. I play all the time but it has just become to easy for people to max stats now. And i've lost so many rankings in my former fave stat (prayer) ;) lol.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

3. Construction Glitch? That was unbelieveable. But it wasn't a planned update so I award......... Trouble Brewing. Simply because it was a waste of time and effort.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

EDIT: Re-releasing scared emote. :@

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Hunter was a GREAT update. It can't be bought either lol. Prayer Altar's were close to making my top 3 2.

The economy is run by 13 year olds. Inflation hits when their girlfriends dump them. Besides, in any normal economy an influx of new items is a good shot in the arm.
